Holy crap did that hurt. I just got stapled back together.

I went to the OB today about my still open c-section incision. It became infected at 10 days pp and has been open for the last 3 weeks. She took the packing out and said it looked great and that it just needed a little help to close up. She offered to staple it together with lidocaine. DH will be out of town next week and can't pack it for me, so I jumped on the chance to get her to close it up. It didn't hurt when she stapled it- about half an hour ago- but now that the lidocaine is wearing off it hurts like a SOB! It also doesn't help that it took her three times to get it closed. She kept stapling and then having to remove it because it wasn't placed correctly. I now have three staples across holding it closed. I'm glad I have leftover percocet because I am going to need it.
