UO Thursday.

I am sure we have a ton. We are all cranky and want our babies out. Lets do this.

  • I know that my DH works a lot harder than me (right now) as I am transitioning to be a stay at home mom, but sometimes I wish he would volunteer to clean the house or something.

He has been incredible the past 9 months and I still really dislike him sometime for absolutely no reason.

  • my back hurts so bad I just want to curl up and cry. I am so uncomfortable today, I just wanna be in sweatpants and a giant tshirt and lay on the couch. and if ONE more person tells me that my baby hasnt dropped enough yet I am going to punch them in the throat. I feel like I have a pumpkin IN my vagina, DO NOT tell me that he hasnt dropped, because every time I sneeze I pee my pants a little. Also I have a Dr. apt today, and I do like my Dr. but she is so old school, I might just demand an internal because I want to know if I have made any progress at all....even though I know it doesnt mean a whole lot....it would really just be re-assuring.

  • I think pregnancy is overrated. Yes I feel blessed, but actual pregnancy is not what it's all hyped up to be. I don't feel like I'm glowing or happy. Yes, I am miserable today and I refuse to get out of bed unless my building decides to go down in flames.

  • Also, I think Rihanna is an idiot for going back to Chris Brown. I get that it's her life, her choice, but when you choose a life in the public eye, you need to be responsible with the example that you set for young women everywhere.

Any links to particularly obnoxious posts?  I'm curious to know who it is...

  • It makes me crazy when people say something to me like "so when you are doing x, will your DH babysit your kids?".  No one would ever refer to a mom as the babysitter of her own kids, why would they refer to a dad as a babysitter to his own kids?

GAH!  This has been a pet peeve of mine for as long as I can remember.  You're only babysitting if the kid ISN'T yours!!

LOL! Now you've piqued my interest, and I'm curious if it's one of the three PW that I'm thinking of!

  • My UO is that I would rather read a million political posts on FB before reading a dramatic and vague post by a person just looking for attention.

There's a little drama going on in my family right now, and apparently everyone has reverted back to 7th grade levels of maturity.

I completely, completely agree. Yes, I'm so grateful I'm having a baby, especially after all the IF treatments. But honestly, being pregnant sucks. And if one more person tells me how much they loved being pregnant, I will punch them.

And make post like "I love it when bishes get mad, hop off my post"....Which was a few months ago, and Norry called her out on being kind of a crazypants.

  • This might be more of a FFC, but I'll post it here because I'll probably forget by tomorrow. The question "Do you love your husband or children more" has crossed my mind. I love my husband so much that I didn't think it was possible, yet the majority of people answer that they love their children more. Well, maybe it's because they haven't been here that long, but I still love my husband more. I feel SO awful about this and wish I felt the opposite way :(

Yeah, I think I know who you are speaking of...there are like 3 girls like that on 3rd tri lol. And quite a few on 2nd tri....it's funny when you call them out and they are all "you don't even belong here!!1!!! Go back to 3rd tri!!1!!"

No way, girl! Don't feel bad about this! When you got married, you made your marriage vows to your husband - not to your future kids!  Obviously you love your kids like crazy, but loving your husband and putting your relationship with him first is probably one of the best things you can do for your kids to show them you love them.  True story.

I honestly don't think one love can be greater than the other because they are different.  You love your husband differently than you love your children and there should be no competition between the two because they are so different IMO.

I personally love God first my husband second and then my children. My children will eventually grow up and make lives of their own. I am making a life with my husband until death do us part. I don't think there is anything wrong with loving your DH more. A Happy marriage makes for a happy home.

  • I was enjoying my pregnancy up until 38 weeks. If he came at 37 I would of be quite happy bc I'd be blissfully unaware of how uncomfortable I am right now.

Also, I never want my mom to drive my kids, ever. The though makes me want to squeez my vag shut and never let him out.

Thank you. I really never put it into that perspective before. I just feel like my feeling is the wrong one, since the people around me say they love their children more than their husband. Your reply really made me feel so much better :)

Yeah...I'm not making any freezer meals. Call me a naive FTM if you want, but I honestly don't see how having a newborn will make it impossible for me to throw a roast in the crock pot, or boil some water for pasta. Sure, I won't be making any 5 course meals anytime soon, but let's be honest, when do I do that anyway? Stick out tongue

100% agree! At least in our home it is silly to do. DH doesn't eat leftovers and would view a freezer meal as a leftover. Plus I really felt ok enough to make myself simple things to eat, or DH cooked after DD#1.

Also I really didn't want to eat a whole lot. More or so just snack. DD is pretty easy to please with food and DH is a picky eater so I just don't see the need for freezer meals. If neither of us wants to cook one night there is always ordering out!

    Nah,

I was all about the freezer meal train. I have like 5 in my freezer right now. And then the other night I ate one. It sucked. I am glad I have them for a bind (mostly soups) but I was not a fan.....

Looks like we will be doing easy stuff in the beginning.

  • S/O the freezer meals. I have actually turned down being out on a list for people to make us food and bring it over through our church. DH is seriously so picky I can gurantee he would not eat most of it which means I would have these huge meals in my house just getting wasted.

MIL will make dinner and bring it by a lot probably which I am fine with b/c she knows what we eat and we love her cooking.

I agree! Please, I don't know what I want to eat in 10 minutes - there is no way I'm cooking that far in advance. In fact, I admit, I don't cook. I am hoping my mom cooks when she's here. And no, I won't feel guilty about it! Stick out tongue

Oh this drives me crazy!   I said something about going to movies with friends some day near the end of November and my coworker asked if I would be "comfortable with DH babysitting?"   1) By November I will have spent multiple days taking care of LO alone, why can't he?  2) It is not babysitting if it is your child!
