sciatic nerve???

I have had a dull pain in the lower right side of my back kind of right above my bum. Yesterday I went for a walk and the pain was worse and more acute and made it difficult for me to walk. Does this sound like sciatic nerve pain??? Is there anything to do for this? It really hurts when I move in certain ways and I haven't been able to go for walks. :(

  • If your up for it chiropractor !! My is amazing!! Since your body is you g through so many changes its good to get realignedsp when my upper butt hurts from walking I go see the chiropractor it's only happened 2 times and 1 of the times it was from bowlinglol , some people are against chiropractors but for me it works hope this helps
  • Yes it sounds like it...I've had it last pregnancy and this one. My OB told me I had to gain weight so I can carry the baby in a better position. I don't know if that makes sense at all, but with my first I gained more weight and still got it. Don't bend too much and if you have to bend your knees. I also get pain after long walks. Only thing that I heard might help is chiro. Good luck!
  • Yes it sounds like sciatic nerve. Go see a message therapist that does prenatal message. I went to one at 9 weeks. She is a German muscle doctor. We don't have muscle doctors in the US, so she practices message therapy here in VA. She also recommended B12 lozenges. You don't have to live with that kind of pain.
  • I had the same pain develop as I was having some round ligament pain (I felt pains from my hips to my mid-pelvic region). The next day, my belly popped out! I went to a massage therapist and a chiropractor. Both helped, but I noticed that doing some squatting stretches also make it feel better.
  • Yes, I have it and it is painful!  :(  A lot of people have mentioned going to the chiropractor but I can't wrap my head around it.  They also have recommended massages.  I went in for one a couple months ago and it actually did help (at least short term).  Hope you feel better!

  • Thanks everyone! I'm glad to know that I'm not alone. :)  I made an appt with a soft tissue therapist and I'm going in for acupuncture tomorrow. Hoping these help me out! I'm not happy that I can't walk around. :(
