DH and I had yet another discussion of names that went basically nowhere, except that he agreed to the name Noel/Noelle *if* she is born on Christmas Eve or Christmas, because of the meaning of the name.
I love this idea, but I'm not due until January 20th so I'm really hoping she's not here either of those days! Though the fact that we actually agree on a name and can give it to her if she comes then makes me want to bounce on an exercise ball for a mile while downing a bottle of castor oil on December 24th...
But this got me thinking about this name that I love! What are your opinions on the name of a little girl that's not a Christmas baby?
Re: The name Noelle
It's fine if it's not a Christmas baby. Are all Natalie's born on Christmas?
You're overthinking this.

I agree, I prefer Noelle on a NOT December baby!
And I tried the castor oil thing. It did NOT work, but it gave my bum a party! Ugh. Never again. :-)

We are 99.9% sure we are naming our little girl Noelle, and my due date is March 2. I think its kinda cheesy to use a Christmas name on Christmas.
My 4 year old daughters tumbling coach is named Noelle (thats where we got the name from) and her birthday is in June. My aunts name is Holly and her birthday is in October, and my friend just had a little girl named Natalie last month. None of them were born on Christmas day, but have Christmas names. So I dont think its important when the birthday is. If you love it, use it!!!!
PLUS: No one wants to be born on Christmas. It must be hard to share your birthday with such a big holiday. January 20 is a wonderful due date.
Question: We are struggling on picking a middle name for Noelle, what are some you are considering?
I thought Noel was the boys spelling for the name pronounced "nole" . Like Scott Foley's character on Felicity. And Noelle was the girls name pronounced "no- elle"?
Yea, thats what I was saying. I didnt think Noel was a girl spelling at all
See, that's what I thought, that she didn't have to be a Christmas baby, but DH is big on the meaning behind names.
He said it's a nice name, but he thinks it would be cheesy if she was born Jan-Feb.
And I'm not really going to try to self induce that early, just exaggerating the fact that this is the only name both of us have even remotely agreed on.

I love, love, love Noelle Pearl.

All of the women in my dad's family have the middle name Rose, including me, so that's kind of a front runner for middle names no matter what her first name is.
