the anticipation is crazy!!!

so i missed my period for the month of september, i was expecting it on the 20th and it never came...i've never missed a period since i started having periods so im obviously thrown off by this happening. im also bloated, moody, sleepy, and nauseous...if i've calculated correctly if i am pregnant i would be about 4 weeks, i made a drs appt for thursday but i wanted to kno if anyone might be able to advise me as to whether or not i might be pregnant before i go to the doctor...the anticipation is killing me!!! lol thanks in advance and congrats to all of the future mommies :o)

    i took one and it was negative but that was like a week ago and since i had yet to get my period a week later i decided to go ahead and just go to the doctor and have them test me there

    at this point HPT will pick up the hormone and show positive if you are pregnant....

    o ok well i was just curious because i know there r false negatives and cheap tests...but im probably just saying all this because i actually want to be pregnant but if im not i could always try again!!! thanks

    At this point, if a HPT says negative, you're most likely not pregnant. False negatives and false positives are VERY rare. Cheap tests are usually the best ones, to be honest.

     All sorts of factors can play in to missing a period, so I'd suggest you try an ovulation kit or something like that from here out, if you're actively trying to get pregnant. Good luck!

    You'd probably spend less on a pregnancy test than you would on your doctor's copay. Plus it's just as reliable.

    I would definitely pee on a stick again. I've always had good luck with the dollar store pregnancy tests. They are 1 so it would definitely be worth testing.

    The doctor will most likely give you the same type of test you would get at home.  I doubt they'll do a blood test without having done a urine test first.  Test again weekly until you get your period or a positive.
