full confession: why I look good in my pics

Thanks for all the kind words on my pictures and birth story! We are doing well, although home is pretty hectic right now. About ten minutes after getting home from the hospital, I was running up the stairs to get my older son a suppository because he was so constipated and pulling a poop out of his butt. No rest here!
Anyway, lots of people commented that I looked really good in my hospital pics. The reason is becuase I put on makeup in the car on the way there despite it being 3 am, and I did a quick pluck of my eyebrows while waiting for my in laws to come wait with my older baby. And after I got my epi, I put on a quick swipe of lip gloss and brushed my hair, haha. And having the epi helps with the happy look on my face too. Ok, so I'm vain, I admit it! Just wanted to assure you that my face is not naturally like that or anything. You should see me right now.
So my suggestion is totally bring your makeup bag and keep up with the hair maintenance. Makes taking pics much less nerve wracking! I like that my outside matches how absolutely HAPPY I am on the inside!!!

this is exactly what I was thinking! there is no way my hair will look good, Ill probably look something like this right after :P

with a scheduled csection I'll be in some makeup too, although I plan to be in my glasses not contacts for comfort. I'm also doing my hair that morning, and getting a mani/pedi a couple days before!
I'll bring everything for later on though and hope to be able to put some makeup on in the morning daily!
The best part of having a planned c/s (besides of course meeting my girls) was the ability to get up and get glamorous. I felt beautiful and the nurses even commented on it! At the moment I'm in jeans, a tshirt, and a baseball cap - not so glamorous!
I touched up my makeup with DD1 right before pushing and love her photos as well. So, I'm right there with you on the maintenance and looking good in photos!
