hubby and i moved to NYC two months ago, and obviously we have space constraints. we no longer have a kitchen table (nowhere to put it!), and instead just eat on the couch at the coffee table. i'm going to start letting my daughter try out eating this week (she got to suck on an apple slice and a cantaloupe slice this weekend), but where should i put her? i don't want to hold her in my lap, because i want to be able to see her, plus she is wiggly. are there any short highchairs out there? or an alternative? i have seen the kind that strap to a chair, but we don't have any chairs either!
help, please?
Re: BLW with no highchair?
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
On days DS1 would come to my office, I would put him in a Bumbo on the floor with the tray attachment.
More Green For Less Green
We have this and absolutely love it. It can sit on the floor or strap onto a chair, and we take it with us to restaurants (and traveling, and other people's homes... basically everywhere)- she often turns her plate over, and I would rather her eat off the nice clean tray than the table. Plus it's harder to climb out of.
We live in a big city and space is at a premium, so we never bothered with a big highchair- we never needed one.
this one rules. Dd has used that sinds she was 7 months old (we did BLW) and never had a high chair. We have one in Maine (where we visit SDs) and Europe (where my family lives).
We just moved her to an IKeA junior chair for at home but still use the booster for eating out.
