I saw your post below that you tested positive for Group B. I had that as well. And yes, it is scary, but as long as you get the antibiotics in you before delivery, it shouldn't be a problem. I was a mess until they got that first one over with (they wanted 2 doses in me before delivery). Especially since they wanted to get a bag of fluid in me before the antibiotics as well, I was so afraid it wouldn't get done in time.
But look at the bright side, they shouldn't mess around with admitting you when you go into labor. Although if you were planning on trying to do most of the laboring at home, that could be the one downside. I'm sure everything will work out just fine for you, and just remember anytime you call in with questions, and when you go to the hospital, make sure every nurse knows you're Group B positive.

No... we didn't have an extra day. They didn't even tell me that was a possibility. Although I think if I didn't have the antibiotics on time, I think then it would have been an extra day, maybe that's what they were referring to for you?
If you had a quick labor with your first, I would just be extra aware of what's going on. If you go in and they try to tell you that there's time, but you don't feel right about it, then put more pressure on them. Make sure they understand how quick the first one was, and don't let them brush off your concerns. Good luck -- I totally understand your worry, that was my main concern too, was not having enough time.
