  I'm probably in the minority here, but I like Lainey as a stand alone name (this spelling).  I prefer a more formal name with Lainey as the nn, but I wouldn't side-eye it as a stand alone name.

  This. But not as a full name.  Its sounds too cutesy for my taste.  It also reminds me of Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) from She's All That the movie so I picture someone artsy and different.

   This.  If you choose it as a stand alone name, I prefer Laney (the "i" seems superfluous), but I really prefer it as a nn only.
