I am due in Feb 20th, I am a new mommy!! I just moved to WV, we are more in the mountains so the weather is about a few weeks ahead that where my husband and I grew up! I am told by locals that this winter is going to be a bad one! ( my husband started this job last Feb before I followed him and he said it snowed all the time 2feet at a time!!! when 2hrs down the road where we grew up it was 40 or 50 degree's,)! I am wondering if the car seat blanket thing its by jj cole it's called bundle me! is warm enough for the short trips to the car, store, and such... or should i look into getting a snow suit, and if i should get one, and where and what is the best? also what are ya'll thoughts about the jj cole bundle me? is it worth getting?!
Re: Warm in Wild and Wonderful!
I've heard a lot of people on the boards give good reviews of the bundle me. You probably don't need a snowsuit though, as your LO will be too young to go into the snow. Some of the cold weather mamas around here can give you more info on that, but layers and fleece sleepers seem to be the big thing for winter newborns.
I would really think about how often you will go out with the baby during your winter months. Winters are very mild where I live, but I really did go out much with DS for the first couple of months. It wasn't even a weather thing, so much as a newborn thing. They eat and sleep so often during that period, and they are so susceptible to germs, I think most mom's stick close to home for the most part.
It's an after-market product, which always has its risks when placed in the carseat. I'm going with just the basic carseat cover so that the straps are not compromised and there is nothing between LO and the carseat.
**Please try a bit harder to actually write out complete sentences and complete thoughts. This post was really REALLY hard to follow, and I'm used to editing Freshmen essay papers. A good "What are your thoughts on the JJ Cole Bundle Me?" would have sufficed.
I think this is the cover I saw recommended, it's a shower cap style cover: https://www.amazon.com/JJ-Cole-Seat-Cover-Graphite/dp/B00511J6BM/ref=pd_sbs_ba_3
So not a bundle me.
LIKE
This. You should NOT use anything between the baby and the car seat, in fact depending on the manufacturer, it could possibly void your warranty in the case of an accident (I know Britax is like that). I would just dress the baby warmly in layers and long sleeves and cover them with a blanket.
**And please pay special attention to the bolded.
If you'd look up previous questions about the Bundle me, you'd find out it wasn't safe. It's too big and bulky and will make the baby not sit correctly in the carseat, and can pose problems should you be involved in a accident. The "shower cap" style, one that goes on the outside if the carseat, is safer and will be better for baby in the long run. Think about, too, how you've said how long your drives are. Do you think it's safe for baby to be THAT bundled up in the car as its being heated? I don't.
This is a very good point.
You can't blame a learning disability on everything.
Well, this debunks my theory that you are 15.
Why'd you delete your other post?
........people aren't going to cut you any slack if you keep DDing all your posts! And because you are new, DD means "Dirty Delete", which is a no-no around here.

I'm just glad you aren't FROM WV and writing with such poor grammar. I wouldn't want people thinking we don't know how to write here in our wild and wonderful state.
I think we have the Bundle Me... If it's the one that goes over the car seat... It's not safe to put one on the car seat and then put the baby in - compromises the safety of the seat. Same goes for a snowsuit - not safe.
This is similar to the one we have: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4389487&cagpspn=pla&pla=plab
Now that I'm looking - appears the Bundle Me goes under the baby https://www.diapers.com/p/jj-cole-bundleme-urban-infant-w-thermaplush-sassy-69590?site=CA&utm_source=cse&utm_medium=cpc_D&utm_term=JC-235&utm_campaign=Google&CAWELAID=1338761965&utm_content=pla&cagpspn=pla&ci_kw={keyword} so I wouldn't get that one.
Good luck with whatever you choose!
