September 2012 Moms

Any late Sept momma's looking forward to the full moon this weekend?!

We are few and far between, but I know we are out there! I was due on Wednesday and still going strong, and actually feel pretty good for being overdue. My induction is scheduled for Monday but of course I would rather him come on his own. Maybe Saturday is our night?!?!!? It will be neat to see who all ends up going into labor the night of a full moon....whether its a coincidence or not. :)

  • I was also due on Wednesday and feel fine and nowhere near labour. As long as everything is ok I wouldn't be induced for 2 weeks post-due, but I'd like to avoid induction if possible! As for the full moon, I don't really buy it, but I'd take it!

  • Holy cow, how are there only three days left in September?

Bring it on, full moon, bring it on.

I know--it's crazy! I always knew it was totally possible I'd have an October baby, but I just like the sound of September :) Come on, babies!

Ideally, I would love for him to come on his own, but my doc doesnt like to go past 41 weeks. And my B/P keeps getting higher and higher.

Although it may be an old wives tale, as an RN, I know several L&D nurses and they have all said that full moon nights are some of the busiest nights for them! Maybe there is indeed something in the air. Yes

I LOVE the month of October for random reasons, so although I would love to meet this little man sooner than later, it would be kinda cool if he came in October (10/1...no later!) haha

Me too.  I have many reasons for wanting baby to come in Sept and not Oct, but I'm trying to prepare myself for the latter. *sigh*

  • I had my baby, but was excited about maybe having a harvest moon baby. DH and danced our last dance at our wedding to Neil Young's Harvest Moon.

Yeah, I've heard this from ER docs and nurses, too!

  • I'm due tomorrow and really hoping for him to make a timely appearance. I had high hopes of going early even though DD was born at 41 weeks. I do hope ld isn't packed if I do go into labor the next couple of days. I am hoping for a particular nurse lol.

  • I guess I am officially overdue today! Not that I expected anything different.. I'm kinda hoping baby waits until Monday though, my primary MW isn't on call this weekend and I'd be a little disappointed if she wasn't there. I also love the idea of an October baby, I absolutely love the fall!

  • Officially overdue today. I really thought I was going to have this baby by 38 weeks, but so far no sign of baby coming. I also wish I knew what contractions felt like. I'm starting to think my body just don't know how to go in labor.

I am hoping the full moon would work for me, but I think it won't. It's just my luck, you know. If baby doesn't come on his own, I'll get induced next Thursday night, at 41 weeks. I'm hoping he comes on his own, but I'm not counting on anything anymore.

  • Wednesday was my due date and I'm still waiting. Today is my last day of work which is nice, I set my weekday alarm clock for "OFF" and it was a great feeling. I'm looking forward to this weekend, I kinda had a feeling LO may come this weekend. In August I looked up the Lunar calendar for this month and saw the Blue moon schedule and hoped for the first full moon and not this one but I'll take what I can get. I'm scheduled for induction on 10/3 and would REALLY appreciate is LO would arrive sooner! I like even numbers so I'm hoping either today or Sunday.

I'm not going to let myself believe that I'll be one of the lucky ones that the full moon affects...but as an RN I'm VERY thankful that I'm not working this weekend! Totally believe in the full moon craziness.

  • I'm looking forward to the full moon, I have hopes that it's true, LOL.....I want a September baby....

I'm officially due today but I don't think I'm going into labor anytime soon since I feel so great?  FTM here so I probably don't know what I'm talking about, lol.

  • I'm due on Sunday...been having contractions this am...hoping they keep up! This has happened a few times this week though and still no baby, so we'll see. Maybe it'll be a full moon thing. My sister is an emt and also agrees that it's a crazy time for thr medical professionals!

  • WOW I did not realize there was a full moon this weekend. DS was so late, and my progress has been so little that I actually scheduled us to move this weekend to our new apartment..... I am due today, and am still up high with only a fingertip of dialation, I never went into labor with DS so my OB is not really holding her breath for my much desired VBAC.
