Big news!

Last weekend was my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We had some friends and family over, had a veggie bbq in the backyard, and we were having a great time. He'd blown out the candles of his birthday cake, and we were sitting outside. I had made some of my family's famous honey lemonade, which I was sipping outside. Milo was sitting next to me. I noticed something weird in my ice cube. My family is a bunch of pranksters so I assumed it was the old fly-in-the-ice-cube trick. I fished it out, but it wasn't a fly. It was yellow and white and... it was a ring.

 I looked over to Milo, who had gotten down on one knee. He told me something beautiful (that I sadly can't remember all of) about waiting for this a long time (he'd been apparently planning this since before I got pregnant) and that he'd never met anyone like me before, and that he wanted to marry me. I said Yes! Of course I said yes!

 We spent a while trying to get the ring out the the ice cube (ice pick wasn't working and left a crack in our counter,  we ended up dissolving it with hot water) and it was still so cold it felt my finger would fall off, but I didn't care! I'm so excited!
