grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (vent)

LO did not nap yesterday - just one nap at night and she did not sleep well. I am trying to get as many naps in before I leave her with DH to go to work tonight.

She is also nursing for a loooooong time and my nips are killing me. I just had her sleeping and DH was in the other room. He comes to the living room and for no reason throws himself on the floor with a thud. DD of course woke up and is nursing again! UGH!

Then he gets mad because I complained about him making noise... man!

  • OMG I just hate when DH wakes up the little one. He gets so mad because I am constantly saying Shhh or giving him "the look" that says I'll kill you if you wake him up lol.

DS isn't napping well or sleeping well at night either. Think we have a growth spurt wonder week teething thing going on causing an early wakeful period. Hope it ends soon.

Funny thing... I was going to ask you how it was going in a separate post! But I totally relate. My DH does things like that all the time when all I have been doing was trying to get LO down. When LO finally goes down, DH could be just walking in the door, and you hear him talking on speaker on his cell phone very loudly. Of course LO wakes up...OR he will come in and rile the dog up, chasing the dog around the house and LO will get up...I get so frustrated, and DH will look at me and say, "oops, I didn't know he was asleep." Drives me nuts!
  • Ugh, I always do DS's bedtime nursing in our bedroom because it's dark and I can relax on the bed while I nurse. Sometimes I read a book with just the light from the monitor or use the tablet until DS falls asleep. We head upstairs at 7pm and change his diaper, lotion massage, pajamas and sleep sack and settle in for nursing and some comfort nursing. DS is asleep in his crib by 8pm-8:30pm.

DH would come upstairs just as LO was falling asleep, turn on the light and TV on and I'd be so frustrated because it would tack on at least another hour trying to get LO down. Suddenly there was sound, and shadows, and dad to look at. I used to feel bad telling him to be quiet or that he couldn't spend time in our room, but now I just tell him unless he is going to sit in the dark and do something quietly, he can't come in. The rule is if he wakes up DS, he has to get him to sleep, and since he doesn't have boobs, that requires like an hour of walking, bouncing, and shushing. He doesn't bother us any more.

Dealing with DH's series of morning alarms that he sets at 15 minute intervals and wake DS every morning? That's another story.

oh my gosh...Sometimes I think we are married to the same person...I completely hear you about the alarm...My dh does the exact same thing. I have to tell him to turn it off and stop snoozing because he's waking the baby! We go through this every. single. Morning!!!  UGH....

he helps a lot, but being quiet is not his forte.
