We have exactly one month to go until our DS is here! WDYT of our short list? I need to start narrowing it down somehow. We both REALLY love Liam, but our home state has is as #2 in popularity. Ugh. I can do below the top 10, but no matter how much I love the name I can't do it when it is ranked so high. Anyways...
What are your thoughts:
Cole
Beckett
Dominic
Declan
Re: One month...Cole, Beckett, Dominic or Declan
1. Beckett
2. Declan
3. Cole
4. Dominic
These are my two favorites on your list as well! Good luck.
Love Dominic. Declan is really great too.
I'm "eh" on Beckett.
Cole isn't appealing to me, it sounds like coal and I have visions of disappointed children on Christmas morning.
It's not usually a favorite on here, but I've always really liked Beckett. It's my favorite on your list. Declan would be my #2 pick.
If you both really love Liam, but not it's popularity, have you thought of Ian?
Love, love, LOVE Ian. My hubs won't even consider it because of some kid he went to high school with that gives him a bad imagine when he says the name.
I love Declan, I wanted that name this time around but DH was not a fan. Dominic is also super cute!!!
BUT I LOVE Liam!!! Might be because we have a Liam ourselves!! I debated at the end of naming him Liam (my cousin had a Liam 3 weeks before ours) and I am SO glad I stuck with the name. I still love it and he is completely a Liam. Yes its a popular name and there was another little boy in his daycare in MI with the name. When we moved to WI he was the only Liam at that daycare. I say if its a name you both love and you aren't both completely in love with the other names go with your first choice!! Good luck!!

love Beckett and Dominic... Cole is great too. is there one that sounds best w/ your ln?
ps sorry for horrid grammar and punctuation... holding sleeping baby
I'm partial to Liam.
Out of your list I like Beckett.
That is a good idea! Another name that sounds similar is Cian/Kian.
My worry is that when we named my now 7 year old daughter Lilia nn Lily...Lily was ranked 20th. I hear "Lily" everywhere now and it really irritates me. I am happy that she has a full name that is less common, because had it been just "Lily" her name would have been everywhere. On top of that, she has 2 Landon's in her class currently. They go by Landon Owen and Landon C. I would hate to have my kid be Liam P. his whole life instead of just Liam.
With that being said, I have yet to meet more than 1 Liam and I have actually also ran across 1 Beckett. I suppose it's just the luck of the draw.
Hands down Beckett. It's on our short list for a boy. I know like 5 Cole's under 3 and not a fan of Dominic or Declan.
