I'm in charge of communications at our branch. One of our sales managers just advised me he updated some of our order forms. That means I'm to email them to our reps. However, there'S been quite a bit of back and forth lately, so I emailed back asking if I should go ahead and email them right away or hold off to make sure there aren't any more changes.
He wrote back saying "Yes".
Hummm yes what? Yes send them or yes hold off?
Then I asked him what the updates were, because our sales guys will definitely be wanting to know. So I ask him "Just as a recap, we made XYZ updates on our product codes, but what about prices? Any changes there?"
His response: "OK"
Seriously? I send you a 2-line email and you manage to not read the whole thing? Come on!
Re: Don't you love it when people don't take the time to read their emails?
Ugh, yes I hate this. I have definitely asked either/or questions and gotten just a "Yes" as a response. Then I feel like an idiot because I have to e-mail back and somehoe reword my simple question in another manner to try to get an answer that is clear.
Unfortunately, I have also been on the opposite end of this too. Once in a while, I wil get to the first question in an e-mail and get so caught up in my answer that I will forget to finish the e-mail. But in this case, the answer is much more in depth than your examples above.
Ugh. That is the worst.
I feel your pain. A woman in my office sent me an email asking if I had received some documents. I replied, Yes, I received them. She then proceeded to spend the whole day frantically emailing ppl to try and find out why I didn't get the documents (and cc'ing me on all the emails). I kept emailing her to repeat that yes, I had the documents, but it took several hours till she figured it out.

That actually made me laugh.
Yes, the lack of reading comprehension was actually pretty ridiculous.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
