c-secton mom's~

I feel like I need a extra support when getting up out of bed and chairs... i feel tightening and pulling when I try to get up on my belly any recommendations?

when you were recovering from C-section did you use a c-section support belt? did it help? which one and where did you get it?

 TIA!

  • It was hard/painful to get up from a chair or bed for the first few weeks. It slowly gets better. I didn't use the support belt, but hear they help. GL!

  • It does hurt for the first few weeks after having major surgery, esp getting out of bed.  I couldn't sleep flat and had to prop a bunch of pillows up.  I also had a belt that the hospital gave me to wear and it helped me out alot.  I used it for awhile too, so it didn't feel like my belly was laying ontop of my incision.  GL and HTH!
  • The hospital gave me one but it didn't help much. I remember how uncomfortable it was everytime I had to get up, cough, sneeze or laugh. It slowly gets better. Your son is super cute BTW Smile.

  • It does get better - I'm getting around SO much more easily than I was 2 weeks ago.  I didn't have a belt either.  For getting out of bed, I had a much easier time when I rolled over on my side and got up from that position.
  • I didn't feel any pain or pulling when I rolled to my side to get out of bed. That helped alot.
  • I think everyone is different but rolling over on my side to get up seemed easier.  Although I was fine with getting up after about 4 days.  But I think that could have been me pushing myself because Casey was in the NICU and I had to go see her.
  • oh yeah, everything hurt for a long time.  it was hard to get up and down.... in fact, i slept on the couch because it was easier to roll off of it then to try and sit up. :(
