DS is 9 and a half weeks old and the longest he has ever slept at night is 4.5 hours. I was feeling pretty ok about it until I went to a mommy group - out of 12 kids that are all within 2 weeks of DS, he is the only one who is not sleeping more than at least 6 hours at night. DS has excellent weight gain (born at 7 lbs, now at 12.5 lbs), naps well, can sooth himself to sleep some of the time, and is a content and easy baby during the day. He also follows a 3 hour eat/play/sleep schedule during the day - so essentially doing everything that all the baby books say that he should do, other than the STTN thing. I feel like there is nothing much I can do to help him sleep longer at night, so I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance
Re: Tell me I'm not the only one
This. People who think their fantastic parenting has "trained" a two month old to STTN are plain BSC. Lucky is what they are, that's it!

Ditto! No idea why it's working that way!
