  Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
  After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
  Homestudy complete July 19
  USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!

  Oh the fun of foster parenting!  We had a horrible diaper rash situation too when Zucchini was placed with us.  The BM kept commenting on it too!  I wonder if it is a way for them to get a better idea about the care that is being provided. albeit incredibly passive/aggressive.  Hang in there!  And keep venting if needed!

  How frustrating!  My HR rep told me the craziest stories.  She used to foster.  Her oldest child (now 16) was foster to adopt.  She got her when she was only 8 weeks old.  The BM had left her at a homeless shelter and was on drugs, etc but she kept fighting to get the baby back.  She would complain to social workers about everything she could think of like the baby not wearing enough pink...seriously.  And apparently the system had to investigate every complaint, no matter how ridiculous it seemed.  Fostering takes some tough people!  I'm not sure I could do it, but you're awesome for it!

  vent away - it can be very fustrating and we understand!

  I would just remind myself that complaining was really one of the few "parenting" things she could do at the time...and the fact that she cared enough to complain was a blessing (in disguise!).

  That would totally upset me as well. I was told during my PRIDE classes that some parents may complain about every little thing they can to make themselves look better. It's like they want someone else to do something wrong with their child so the reason they lost their child to CPS doesn't look so bad. Hang in there!
