I am 14 days from my RCS and DH and I can't agree on our girl name, Lucy Jo (Italian last name ending on O).
Lucy is a definite.
Jo since this would be our last child and DH, my father, FIL and my grandfather are all named Joseph. We would like to honor all of them. DH thinks it sounds too southern, which we aren't what do you think?

This is what I was thinking. Ages better and doesnt sounds so country.
Yes, yes, and yes!
Definitely sounds southern to me... How about these options?
Lucy Joanna
Lucy Joelle
Lucy Josepha/Josefa
Lucy Josephina
There's no need to malign the south by saying it sounds southern when what you really mean is it sounds country
Country isn't limited by geography.
I love any of the Joanna, Josephine, etc suggestions above.

I was going to suggest this too.
This! Love Lucy...not crazy about just 'Jo' at all.

Exactly this. Gorgeous!
I like Lucy Jo but I am country so maybe I'm biased
I do also really like the sound of Lucy Josephine and then you could call her Lucy Jo if you wanted. Either way I think you will have a very cute name for your LO!
