Rock and play/chin to chest

do you let your LO sleep in their rock and play? do you ever get concerned about chin to chest?

I didn't realize this could be dangerous and now I'm kinda freaked out. So is baby sleeping in his rock and play a bad idea? that's where he has been sleeping..

We let LO sleep in his rock in play, I haven't noticed chin to chest, but we do have a boppy head insert in there too.....I have more chin-chest issues with his swing and am constantly trying to keep him propped there so he doesn't do overnight in the swing.

Sebastian has been sleeping in his RNP since we brought him home. No issues as of yet...I was super paranoid about that too, but he has pretty good head control for being so new, so he tends to stretch out when he needs to.

I just bought this yesterday since dd doesn't sleep well in her bassinet. I just make sure I can fit one finger under her chin. So far so goo!!!

Chin to cheat is when they're chin is tucked to their chest and they can't get air. Usually when they're inclined [like in their car seat, which is why it's recommended that no baby ever sleeps in their car seat unless they're in the car]

Yep, me too. I've never had an issue, and my little guy is I preemie. He has really good head control though.

I had no idea! One more thing to worry about...

This is how I feel! I just went out and bought a rock and play since LO was having trouble sleeping in the pack and play.

LO also sleeps in his RNP and sometimes he's all chin-to-chest, but he also moves when he needs to.

You can always prop their head up with a rolled up burp cloth or wash cloth if you need to.
