Anyone's doctor made a questionable comment yet?
Last time my family doctor was doing a physical exam at my first appointment and he commented "yep, those nipples will feed a baby". Um ... ok?
Then my first meeting with my OB he did a pelvic exam and commented that I had a "roomy birth canal, and should have no problems pushing a baby out" while his hands were still in me. Um .....

My (ex) family doctor fancies himself a jokester, but really he's not funny. My OB was very serious and never cracked jokes. I didn't really find the comments disturbing, but I was definitely taken aback by them. I guess they thought they were complimenting me?

Ha ha ha ha ha. That would have been a little disturbing.

Hahaha! Love your last comment.
Agreed, the OB sounds like he was making an observation. The family doc sounds like he had a rude way of saying your boobs look normal and functional.
I once had a male OB compliment my necklace while giving me a breast exam.
But yeah, I'd feel slightly violated at those remarks. As if he's sizing you up while examining you. Just weird.

I moved to an incredibly small town a year and a half ago and needed to see a gyno about birth control. I went to 1 of the 2 drs in this town, which happened to be an older man. I was immediately taken aback because his face was swollen and shiny, I am assuming a botched plastic surgery attempt. Then he opened his mouth and it all went downhill from there.
Doc: "Oh I see your c section scar is still a bit pink, that is because you have that beautiful fair skin and breathtaking auburn hair, LIKE MY WIFE"
He then proceeds to tell me far too much information about his wife, other patients, etc. Finally when I am ready to leave he says: "I am certainly looking forward to doing your exam again next year." Uh, no thanks, bud.
Not gonna lie, I laughed at both comments! My OB told me that I have a "fine looking uterus" when he was doing an u/s on me, I laughed at that too!
But if I was actually in your situation then I would be creeped out too!
Hahaha!
When I was in the hospital after having DD, I had a nurse who was trying to help me with nursing. I unbuttoned the top of my gown as she was getting DD out of the bassinet. She turned around, took one look at me and goes, "I'm jealous of your nipples. Look at those things!"
I'm not sure who was more taken aback and uncomfortable, me or DH. It was the strangest thing.
This!
