GAH! Happens every time!

The only way I can get L to take a *long* nap (more than his usual 30-45 minutes) is if I let him lay beside me on the bed, with his arms kind of pinned to his side so he doesn't knock his pacifier out of his mouth...I can get him to nap at LEAST an hour and a half...we're working on 2 hours now (which is fine since I'm bumping and don't really have anything productive to do)...but I HAVE TO PEE SO BADLY!  I don't want to wake him, but if I move, he'll definitely wake up.  This is what I get for trying to stay hydrated haha.

  • You should keep a cup and a hose next to the bed for this exact occasion. If you were able to pull that off w/o making a mess I would be very proud of you.

  • I should just put those mattress pads I bought during pregnancy -just in case my water broke- to good use!
  • The same thing happens to me for LO's morning nap--I have to be holding him. For his afternoon nap, I have to be laying beside him for him to go to sleep, and then I slip away; until he wakes up, that is, and I have to go lay beside him again to get him to go back to sleep. This morning I had to end his nap early because it was either that or wet myself all over the couch!

  • Sometimes I can pull off peeing if I'm holding him while he's sleeping, but sometimes it wakes him right up. I've learned to make a trip to the bathroom before starting a nap.

  • Two hour nap?!? My jaw is on the floor. I feel like I got away with something when my baby takes a one hour nap.

I am literally stuck in bed though...I have to keep re-pinning his hand, patting his belly, putting the pacifier back in...I just bump and play Burrito Bison the whole time :P  On his own I have to fight him to take a maybe 35 minute nap.
