Boppy vs My Brest Friend

I'm creating my registry and was wondering which you all would recommend. What are the pros and cons in your opinions? I'm leaning towards MBF, but was wondering what you all thought.

DEFINITELY the My Brest Friend! It has been a life saver for my baby and I! When I was in the hospital after having my baby girl I brought my boppy with me to fed her and it was a pain. The lactation consultant at the hospital brought me in a My Brest Friend to use and I haven't had an issue since! My husband actually went and bought me one from the hospital gift shop before we left to come home! Worth every penny!

I might register for MBF and see if you can't borrow a boppy from a friend (since they are so prevalent) In the beginning I used the MBF exclusively and definitely do think it is better. Now that I have a 4 month old and I have gone back to work, most of the nursing I do is at night, I reach for the boppy more and more since it is less work to put on and doesn't hurt my back when I fall asleep in the rocker in the middle the night for a few hours.

I have a boppy hated it. DD would roll into the divet between the boppy and my belly, then the boppy would slide out from under her. It was a little better after I had my mom sew a cover with ties to go around me but it was still a royal pain. I wish I'd had MBF.

I would go with My Best Friend. I took a BF class and the My Best Friend was the one to go with. I gues with the boppy you find your self going to baby vs having baby come to you. My Best Friend allows you to adjust where to place it vs. the boppy does not. Good luck!

I had both. For nursing in bed with extra support pillows, I preferred the Boppy. We also used the Boppy to prop her up until she was about 3 months old. For nursing while multitasking or sitting in a chair without extra pillows for my back, I preferred my BreastFriend. I still use MBF for our morning nursing sessions - I latch her on while I do my make up! Makes mornings easier. You can get second hand Boppys at consignment sales - we got ours for $10.

I have both, the boppy sucks. I wish I would have returned it, it's worthless. MBF is great and easy to use. I have tried to use the boppy for positioning, but it really sucks for that too. My LO rolls and slides out of it easily. Don't waste your money

I've never tried MBF but I have a boppy and love it. LO does slide a bit, but i often find that helps her tuck her little body against me to snuggle and sleep after nursing. In fact, she's starting to drift off on the bobby right now as I nurse.

I had both and I hardly ever used the Boppy. My Breast Friend was really helpful in the beginning.

I have both, and I like each for different reasons. Do you know someone who has a Boppy you could borrow, and then you could register for the MBF? My sister had both, so I'm just borrowing hers. I really liked the MBF for about the first 8 weeks or so of DS's life. Lately, I've been using the Boppy more often because it's easier to grab, and we also sit DS in it on the floor, or do tummy time with the Boppy. If you were only getting one, I'd probably get the MBF because it was much better/easier for me in the beginning, when I was trying to figure out what I was doing with regards to BFing.
