Curse you Phantom Symptoms... I shake my fist at you!

It amazes me that after all this time, and even when I don't feel in anyway like we have a chance this month, that I can still get sucked in by phantom symptoms and now I am hopeful. 

Rational side of my brain knows the chances are slim.  Irrational fairyland side of my brain is thinking, maybe you'll be the exception this month.  Maybe some freak combination of bad timing and hormones will somehow turn things around.  I am so annoyed with myself.

 And thanks to the DHEA... I smell like a man.  Icing on the cake.

    Those are so frustrating. I had incredible nausea in the last 2ww. Such a disappointment and nausea to boot!

    Ok I've never heard of that DHEA side effect. What on Earth?

    I hate phantom symptoms, totally messes with your head.

    My lovely side affect from the DHEA was bacne, yuck. I'm glad I never had to wear a swim suit this summer.

    Me:40 AMA, DH:36 0% morph, TTC#1;
    BFP#1 4/2011, MMC 6/2011 11wks Trisomy 13;
    BFP#2 11/2011, CP
    FSH: 17.9, AMH: 2.2

    Oh I'm with you there. I had sore boobies all week so I was sure I was pregnant. Took a HPT this am before my doc appt and it was neg. Hopped in the shower, hopped out and hello AF, two days early. That's what I get for optimistically testing two days early, that b!tch shows up early to a party she wasn't invited to.
    Baby #1 due 2/10/14!

    It is the worst!  You have these miserable symptoms and you are all excited.  Yay I am nauseous!  Yay my boobs hurt!  Woo hoo!  And then AF - grrr.  Stinks!

    I've started calling it the one week wait.  Exactly one week before AF starts, my boobs will gradually become more and more sore.  When that happens, I know I'm most likely not pregnant.  But every month I still question whether or not the pain is worse than the last month...I ALWAYS think it's worse...but it's the same freaking pain that I've had for HOW long now?  I'll never learn.

    I don't know which is driving me up the wall more; the phantom symptoms or the OPK games.  I mean really, must you buy 3 different one's and guess which one of them is right?  

    As per one brand I've had a LH surge for 6 days, the second one not at all, the third...the jury is still out.  DH laughs when I'm in the bathroom yelling, seriously, can't you all get on the same page!!!

    I have an idea, I will lick my finger tip, hold it in the wind and use that method to detect LH.  Better yet, does anyone remember the Magic 8 ball fortune teller for children?  You asked a question, shook the 8 ball and this little cube block would display an answer (outlook not so good, yes, no, not sure).  I think I'll see if I can find one at Toys r Us and start using that to tell me if I'm ovulating.  It will probably look a heck of a lot more sane than me using 3 p sticks and a thermometer every day.  I mean, our house has enough room but I never thought I'd have to devote an entire room into a science lab.  For a joke I should take that stuff and all the charts and put it our guest bedroom.  I can see people walking out of the room like hmmm do I really want to stay here?

    If I ask my DH one more time do you think my boobs are bigger, do they feel heavier to you..I think he'll scream.  I bet he's asking friends was your wife this bizarre? LOL  

    Ughhhh the trials, tribulations, shaken fists, and laughs. Just have to keep the end blessing in mind.  In the meantime, anyone else have some funny stories whether it be phantom symptoms or the whole baby making process?

    I am right there with you, not having anything yet this month but I am constantly thinking does my uterus feel "fuller heavier" my nipples hurt, do they hurt more, are they heavy?  I try to keep my obsession quiet - DH doesn't share the obsession part he says when the DR confirms he'll get excited...sigh how can he be so calm????

    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!
