Owen Joseph

So we've had this name picked out for a while.  Joseph is DH's middle name.

First, what do you think of the name?  I know it's popular but DH and I do not know a SINGLE Owen, adult or child, plus popularity isn't really a huge concern for us anyway.

Second, WDYT of OJ being the first two initials? I hate OJ and would never want him to go by it and the only reason it was even brought up by DH's family is because he is Colin Joseph and sometimes went by CJ as a child. 

Anyway, WDYT?

    I absolutely love the name Owen.  I don't know any Owen's IRL either.
    I don't think OJ should ever be an issue as long as you never bring it up and quickly correct anyone else who might try to.

    My 2 year old is Owen so I really like that name (obviously!).  I hadn't met an Owen before we named him but now I've met 2 that are 6 and we just had a ultrasound tech who named her son (9 month old) Owen, so I think it's getting more popular.  I've seen it going up on the SS rankings.

    We had a "J' name as a choice for the middle name but I didn't like the "OJ" thing, mainly because my husband would have called him that to drive me crazy.  We ended up using Thomas instead.  If he's going to be "Owen" then I don't think it's an issue but if there's a potential for "OJ" and you don't like it, you might want to think of a different name.

    I think its a good name. I also know that Owen is popular but I really only know one...ironically he is an Owen Joseph as well ha!

    Love your choice. I know two Owens...one is a toddler, one is middle aged

    I know Owen is theoretically popular but I don't know any child Owens.  It's NMS, but I still think it's a good name.  I wouldn't worry about the OJ initials, I doubt anyone besides my family and very close friends even know DS's middle name anyway.

    I love the name Owen, Its my cousins name and he is 8, and I wouldn't worry about the OJ thing, just correct someone if they say it. :)

    I personally do not like Owen, but I think it's a solid choice paired with Joseph.

    +#1 on 4/1/12 - m/c @ ~8w 5d
    +#2 Tx cycle 4 - 5 mg Letrozole + 75iu Follsitim & Ovidrel w/ IUI on 11/13/12 - EDD 7/23/13 
    7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats.  153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
    9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B.  A and C are growing on track.  A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.  
    Elective sex determination u/s on 2/8 revealed... boy AND girl!

    This is exactly the boy's name we are considering if this LO is a boy. We joke that we'll call him "Juice" but honestly, I don't think OJ is that bad.

    I love the name.  In general, I'm not a fan of initial nicknames.  And frankly, I wouldn't think most people would default to that on their own. However, DH's coworkers call my son by his first and middle initial.
