Birthday Cake

Anyone know of an affordable place to get a jungle/safari cake in the Twin Cities (preferrably north/west/east metro). Thanks!

Re: Birthday Cake

  • Have you checked out Queen of Cakes? we were surprised to find out that her cakes would just be a little more then the ones we had been getting from Target & so much better tasting. Queen of Cakes is in Edina.

  • I have no idea if they do jungle cakes but I've been really impressed with the Bakery at the Kowalski's grocery stores.
  • Lunds/Byerlys in Edina always pleases for me!  We order lots of cakes through them - any time a patient in our hospice celebrates a birthday:)

  • I'm not sure if they have a jungle/safari theme, but Costco has wonderful cakes, and they are fairly cheap.

  • Depending on what you mean by "Affordable", Walmart Bakery, Super Target Bakery, Sam's...  If you're looking more for a bakery, Taste of Scandinavia in Little Canada, otherwise Wuollet's, or Jessica's Cakes.

Oooooh Wuollet's princess cake (I believe that's what it's called...the raspberry  and cream one) is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Totally not appropriate for the occasion, but phenomonal!

  • If you're not averse to ice cream cakes, there's Coldstone Creamery, they have very reasonable cakes and some super cute ones. Also Ben and Jerry's in Edina.
