So today was my first day co-oping at my DD's preschool and it was also the first day someone besides family watched my DS (I baby swap with another preschool mama). Then after all the cleaning and craziness of after school I had to take both my kiddos with me to my REs office for bw for the beginning of our IVF cycle. I am so stinkin' glad that DS is napping, DD is doing 'quiet time' and there's coffee ready.
Anybody else here dealing with kiddos and also working on baby making?
Re: Crazy Day- preschool, naps, and bw
We are trying for #3, since Nov 2011. I work full time and yes, the days are long and busy.
Enjoy your coffee!!
I'm a substitute elementary teacher, so I am around kids all day long. On top of it, I have my own kids that I come home to - DD is 14 and DS is 12, both from my first marriage.
Something came up, and we had to stop TTC in late July/early August for at least a year, maybe longer.
Yes, but unfortunately, mind don't nap anymore. I do admit that when DD started 1st grade and DS would take a nap in the afternoons still it was like my own little piece of heaven. Now that he's in preschool I feel guilty if I'm not at the gym or doing something productive when he is in school. I did not feel that way about nap time.
I teach 2 days a week. DD is 7 and DS is 4. DS has soccer once a week, DD has soccer practice twice a week and games once a week. She also is on a dance team and in Girl Scouts and I was dumb enough to volunteer to be the GS leader. Things are NUTS around here!
However, I love it, and I would love, love, LOVE to add a third to our chaos.
When I was a kid my Mom was a leader for cub scouts, brownies, and girl scouts. I want to do brownies and girl scouts too! DH and I had custody of our nephews for 3 years when they were pretty young and I was a cub scout leader for the youngest. I SO hope DD wants to do brownies and girl scouts!!
