What about BOB?

Hehe get it?? :)

Seriously though, tell me about your BOB stroller...specifically the 2011 revolution SE. I know it's expensive and I'm okay with making the investment as long as it's worth it. I absolutely plan to use it for jogging...and I was shocked to see how many jogging strollers aren't actually intended to use while...jogging...? Hmm. Anways, we also go for lots of walks, both on sidewalks and trails, and we spend a lot of time outdoors. I was originally looking at a baby trend jogger but after reading some not so good reviews, and even seeing a YouTube video of the front wheel shaking like crazy while walking, we compared them at BRU and the BOB just seemed so much more sturdy and comfortable for LO...of course this conclusion came from steering them around the aisle without a child in it.

Anyone who has this stroller...love it? Hate it? So-so?

Thanks so much!

Re: What about BOB?

  • The BOB gets a lot of love, despite the price.  It's a much more rugged and comfortable and it has better handling than the low end jogging strollers.  The swivel wheel locks if you are serious about running.  Do some seaching, there are lots of posts here and on other sites discussing this topic.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE my BOB - it was our big splurge (though we registered for it on amazon and then used our completion discount and it was A LOT cheaper than it would have been anywhere else new...and almost what people sell them for used). It is awesome. We are runners and so use it quite regularly for runs (and will do so even more once the spring comes...its a big cold for long runs with lo at this point). We have also used it for around town and while I agree that it is bulky it is so maneuverable. It was the most expensive thing we purchased for our baby (seriously it cost more than her crib) but we LOVE it. If you want a really great stroller and especially if you run I could not recommend this more.

  • I love our BOB and use it as our everyday stroller.  It is big but it maneuvers so, so easily that it doesn't feel bulky at all.  I haven't actually jogged with it since my LO was too young when it was nice out, but I am sure it will be great for that.  It was definitely our splurge item, but it is worth the high price tag!

  • Thank you!! I read through all of the reviews on amazon last night and it's sounding like the right choice for us. The only complaints people had were that it was bulky and heavy (what true jogger isn't?) and a few about the basket size, cost of additional accessories...but the majority gave it 5's. It will be our big splurge as well, but we've saved a ton with 2nd hand items so I think we're going for it...I can't wait!!

We are also planning on getting a good quality umbrella stroller, maybe a chicco, for times when BOB is too big, and for the grandmas who would probably have trouble folding/unfolding it.

    Thanks again!!

  • Another thing you might consider is the Bob Ironman stroller.  We got that as a gift because we wanted one that is a true jogging stroller as it has the running brake.  If you compare it to the Revolution SE that one is considered a jogging stroller more so than the revolution.  Plus it is a bit less.  I got ours on sale after the Black Friday deals BRU had them 30% off which was a great deal to me.
