Any ideas?

My 3.5 week old ff dd does a lot of grunting, sudden cries, stiffening up, turning red, spitting up during feelings. It doesn't happen with every feeding but I would say it does for the majority of them. She has been extremely fussy for the last 7-8 days, to the point I'm afraid to leave the house due to random meltdowns. We have tried gas drops, ruled out constipation, Zantac and switched from Similac complete advantage to gentlease and now to Alimentum (which is super expensive) none are seeming to help. After starting Alimentum we had a great stretch of about 12-18 hours and then went back to square one. Any ideas or advice?

    Sounds just like my daughter, who was diagnosed yesterday with reflux. She just started Zantac, so it's too soon to tell how much that will help, although it seems to be helping some so far. Maybe she needs to have her dose of Zantac adjusted? Also, unless the doctor diagnosed a milk allergy, Gerber Soothe formula has worked the best for us so far. It's designed for gas & colic and seems to help with the reflux. But I would call the doctor back for sure. I will if the Zantac doesn't help.
