Washing the family's cloth??

We use:

  • 1-2  CD/day for DS (pee only, from nap & bedtime)
  • Mama Cloth for me
  • Breast pads for me
  • Lots of CD for newbie DD

My question is, how do you wash all your family's cloth?  It's tempting to just toss everything in together-- although that seems kinda yucky to me, especially washing breast pads along with everything else.  I mean, everything gets *clean* in the wash but not necessarily disinfected.  But I'm not sure how to break everything up if I wash it separately.  Maybe just do the breast pads separately?  (In with the regular clothes?)  Or is it really OK to wash it all together?

FWIW, my wash routine is:

  1. Cold wash cycle, no detergent
  2. Hot wash, heavy cycle, detergent + extra rinse
  3. *Maybe* one extra warm rinse
  4. I also add a bit of bleach 1x/month
