Re: U/O!!

  • I think McDonald's coffee drinks are great.  They taste good to me and they are half the price of a coffee shop.  Also, I am not a fan of Starbucks.  I have yet to have something that I've liked there.  I do like Gloria Jean's and a local coffee shop (Biggby) though, but they are really expensive.

I hate Starbucks and judge the people in my neighborhood who go there because there's a really good bakery with coffee 2 blocks away. Their coffee always tastes burnt and gross.

  • I HATE coffee.  I know that this can get me in a lot of trouble with all the coffee drinkers out there, but I just don't get it.  I don't like decaffeinated drinks in general, but coffee is awful.  The funny thing is that I really like Kahlua and coffee ice cream, go figure.

I don't really like regular coffee.  I like mocha and lattes and stuff with lots of flavoring and sugar!

Have you ever had Coffee Nips?  It's a hard candy and it is AMAZING!

  • I hate coffee too.

Mine is that I'm tired of the snarky responses to the "I'm pregnant!" posts. I was surprised when I got pregnant. I had sex once without birth control and I was 35. Yes, I know that sex leads to babies. I was still surprised. How about a simple "congratulations"? Or "don't worry, it will all work out"?

I agree. I was upset to see those responses the other day. IMO when someone is already pregnant the only thing to say is congratulations.

  • I love coffee. I like Starbucks but not their regular coffee, I like the other coffee drinks there (lattes, etc). I much prefer McDonalds or 7-11 regular coffee.

I hate beer. I try it all the time, different brands, but I just think they all taste the same - GROSS.

I don't like the nosefrida. The bulb works better for us and L doesn't look at me like I am sucking her brains out.

    THIS.

wtf people. We all know how babies are made. No need to harp on about it, especially when it has ALREADY HAPPENED. How about a little positivity. I'd be mega freaked out if i got pregnant now even though we use the "withdrawal method" which is not the most accurate. But I do feel like the combination of withdrawal method + EBF so no period + barely having any sex to begin with lowers my chances quite a bit. So yeah, I'd be surprised if I got pregnant.

I'd also be mega freaked out if i got in a car accident and we all know there is a chance of that happening every time we drive somewhere. You can do things to lessen your risk but the only way to never get in a car accident is to never get in a car.

I'm fine with giving people congratulations and support if they are like, I wasn't expecting this.  I understand that I had sex so it was a possibility, but I am still freaking out rather than OMG, how could this have happened?  What am I gonna do?

I didn't see the post from yesterday but I got a little snarky in the post this morning.

I also hate beer. I've given it a really good effort for like 10 years now. Safe to say, it ain't happening. Which is fine, I'm probably booze-obsessed enough as it is. I love wine, bourbon, hard cider, and rum, and I like tequila OK, and I'm learning to appreciate gin. I think I could very easily become a scotch drinker if I wanted to.

My English nerd UO: Charles Dickens is completely overrated. I get his historical significance and place in the canon, I just don't *like* him. All his stories are the same sentimental stuff about whiny poor boys and the meanie head girls who just won't love them.

  • -Coffee, beer, reality tv and tall boots are all awesome.

    -Mother's Milk tea tastes good.

    - I hate when people pin 879789 things on Pinterest that I don't care about and it clogs up my page.  I have a graphic designer friend and sometimes she pins a billion different fonts that she likes.  I don't care about your fonts.  Show me some delicious chocolate or adorable craft that I will repin but never actually make.

-And here's my really UO:  I feel kind of bad for K Stew and all the hate she gets.  Yes she is a famous millionaire, but simply because she is an actress, that doesn't mean she is a super-outgoing and bubbly person.  She may not be super smiley because that's just not who she is.  Maybe she is an introvert and doing press stuff freaks her out.

Also, I hate how she has been so villified for having the affair with her director.  Celebrities and "real people" do this every day. It's not right, but it's also not news.  Hello, Brad and Angelina.  Nobody HATES either of them for getting it on during Mr. and Mrs. Smith while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

AND, she is only 20 years old.  Isn't it possible that the director (older man and her BOSS) took a little advantage of her?

Same goes for anyone who pins pictures of abs or whatnot as thinspiration. I do NOT need that shiz in my life, trying to feel good about my post-baby belly.

Also I get annoyed with the snarky posts to the OMG I'm KTFU posts.

My UO, I think women that grow their hair very long with no layers over the age of like 18 look dated and unfashionable.  I love long hair, but it's gotta be well maintained with some layers up front.  Also, there is no point in having long hair if you are going to wear it in a bun every single day IMO (says the girl with long hair who wears it up every day to work lol-maybe I need a cut). I think having long hair you always wear in a bun is aging too.

  • So, I'm a psych major. This is my last semester. Many of you know this.

I think Pavlov is a piece of sh!t. How he ran his experiments was disgusting, and I don't agree with his beliefs or the way he went about running things. I feel the same about Watson. They can both suck it, as far as I'm concerned. I hate that my University changed their overview from Psych to Behavioral Psych because I hate behavioral and I think it's a load of crap. If I ever do use my psych degree it will be as a counselor (I'll get my Masters) because I love to help people. Not torture children with white rats, or cut slits in dog's faces so I can collect their saliva. That is not my idea of a good time.

I guess my UO is that I think my biggest mistake in life so far is going to college. My debt is intimidating and I don't even have a quarter of what the average graduate has. My degree is basically pointless. If I could go back in time and tell high school grad Alyssa anything, it would be that she should not go to college. Or at least know what she wanted to do before jumping in.

    I'm feeling trapped.

No, I'm not usually so judgy but I really do not like either of them. I don't understand how they had an affair and yet Jennifer Annisten has been persecuted for it ever since. She was ripped to shreds in the tabloids.

ALSO! I hate when someone famous has an affair, the first thing people want to know is what their husband/wife looked like. Because obvs if they are attractive that makes it worse? When Tiger cheated everyone was like, "Oh, but his wife is so hot!" Yeah..obviously that shows it has nothing to do with looks. Same for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.. all the tabloids were like, "NOBODY is safe! If a man can cheat on Eva Longoria there is no hope for women everywhere!"

A man's behavior is not a reflection of his SO. Men/women cheat regardless of their partner and this stereotype is blaming the victim in my book.

I don't like GIFs in all these threads  I know it is the new fad - but I can't wait until they aren't the cool thing to do.  I don't have speakers, so I don't know what the audio is, They make bumping at work more difficult b/c text and small pics on a screen is easier to hide - little movies is not as easy, and when I am on my phone it takes forever to load stuff now.  Oh well.

Gifs make noise?! I didn't think they did.. but boy that would be like discovering the world was not flat at this point. I love GIFS but that doesn't mean everyone loves them and they don't have to. I think a well-timed and thought out gif can be hilarious. Random gifs that don't make sense? Not so much.

  • I also like Starbucks but not their regular coffee. I agree it tastes burned. I love the fancy, overpriced drinks, though. lol

I don't like beer much either. I can appreciate it, but I don't want to drink a whole bottle/glass. I taste H's frequently, so I am definitely giving it a fair shot.  Maybe some day....

Ernie's UO reminds me - I don't like Jane Austen. I mean, I guess I like the stories okay, b/c I will watch the movie adaptations, and I understand what all the hubbub is about, but I personally did not enjoy reading her at all.

I think Honeycrisp apples are overrated. They are watery and don't have much flavor. (I rail against them every year on ML, lol.)

I still listen to FM radio almost every day. That's not an opinion, but it's probably unpopular. Music stations, I mean. I hate NPR and don't know how people can drive around listing to it. yaaaawwwn.
