Bottle Sterilizer & Warmer

FTM here with a question about bottle sterilizers and warmers. I plan on breasfteeding and using the occasional bottle when needed. Which sterilizer would you rec (we registered for Dr. Brown's bottles). How necessary is a bottle warmer? Which one would you rec?

I wouldn't get either. Bottles can be sterilized in a pot on the stove. Bottles can be made with water that's warm or warmed in a saucepan on the stove. I am not a purchaser of items that can't perform more than one function. I hate clutter.

I never once used either. Plus, DS actually preferred room temp breast milk and formula.

I got the Dr Brown's bottle warmer based on the reviews. I'm too lazy (and impatient) to wait for water to boil and warm milk up the old-fashioned way. From the little I played with it, it seems great. Milk should warm up in less than 5 minutes and it's just at the touch of a button. It takes up absolutely no space on my counter.

I BFd both boys. I never had a sterilizer and had a warmer but that's only because daycare requested it, I never used it at home, just thawed the BM under warm water.

We didn't get either with DD1 because it seemed like a waste of money. Plus, we were in a 1 bedroom so everything we needed was close to wherever we were. This time we're in a new place and don't want to walk down the hall multiple times at night to heat up a bottle. We just got the Nuk bottle warmer and really like it. We use Dr. Brown bottles for DD1 and Avent for DD2. Both fit in the warmer and it's been quick and easy to use.
That said, if you don't need to or don't mind going to the kitchen to heat up bottles, then I wouldn't waste the money. For us it's worth the 30. :

I'm skipping the sterilizer as PP said you can do that in a pot on the stove. Just use google an they give you the basics. I'm not sure which warmer we are getting or what I registered for.

I have a good friend who gave me the best piece of advice.... if you can avoid warming bottles - do it! once you get your LO accustomed to a warm bottle, that day you are in the park or in a restaurant and can't warm it will be hell. There is no reason you can't give it chilled or just room temp!

I bfed and never used a sterilizer or bottle warmer. I just put hot water from the sink to heat the bottles. I do really like dr. Browns bottles.

We registered for both and I was just reading online that a baby bottle does not need to be sterilized unless the baby is/was a preemie or if you have well water otherwise the dishwasher will get hot enough to sterilize the bottle.

We are going to do warm bottles at night before bed and in the middle of the night so we registered for this one https://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-Bottle-Warmer/dp/B000056HMB only because it has a place to keep the bottle cool and then you can have the water ready for the heating process without us having to go downstairs to get the bottle. During the day we are going to do room temperature bottles

iam a first time mom but did not register for a bottle warmer and SIL purchased that and wipe warmer- like come on dude if am out and have items baby will be fussy no thanks I may return it next week! besides who packs all that in a baby bag ugh!
