Baby freak out

Are there any other LO that freak out when they see themselves in the mirror?

Yesterday I had DS up on my shoulder and walked to a full length mirror and said "look it's mommy and Ryan"

He started to flip out crying and wouldn't let me put him down.

Anyone else experience this? I've done this a few times before and he's always been fine...

Not really, LO smiles at her own reflection. She has a play mirror so she is used to it, I guess.

My little guy likes the mirror. We have been looking in it daily just for an activity when he is awake for probably two months now. I'm sure your LO will enjoy it more when he is used to it.

It may not have been the mirror at all. It could have been something else entirely, especially if he has been fine with it before. My LO does this from time to time with random stuff. Give it a day or so and try again, I bet he will be fine again.

I can't tell what DD thinks of her reflection, although a few times she did cry when I put her in front of the mirror... I'm not sure if it was BECAUSE of the mirror, though, or she was just fussing anyway. It could be because at this age LOs don't know that it's them, so they might think that mommy is holding another baby - I've seen slightly older babies freak out when their moms hold another kid.
