3 Year Old Birthday Party Ideas

My son will be turning three in a month.  We want to have a party with other kids attending, but can't come up with a place that won't cost an arm and a leg.  Our house is too small to host 6 other kids.  We looked into Kiddie Curusoe and one bounce place, but my husband thinks they are too expensive. Does anyone have any ideas on local halls that might be cheaper or ideas in general?

Thanks,

Cara

  • I don't know exactly where you are, but what about a local park that has a pavilion?  You could just do some easy to make and transport foods (fruit, veggies, CFA platter, etc) and let the kids play?  Friends of ours have had a party at Rolly Pollies, I know they have a few locations around MD and I dont' think the price is too much.

  • Park would def be cheapest.  We had my sons third bday at the bowling alley (duck ins) and it was a lot of fun and around $100

  • My friend had her 3 yos bday party at CFA. I think it was 200 for everything , included a meal and favors for all the kids, plus play area and the cow comes out to take pics etc

  • We had DS2's 3rd birthday at a pick-your-own farm last year. They set us up in our own space with some tables and hay stacks to sit on, and the kids got to pick their own mini pumpkins (taking a hayride out to the field) and the farm provided materials to decorate the pumpkins. They also took care of ordering the pizza for the group, and we brought a cake and drinks. It was super easy, not too much money, and perfect for that age group. Plus, with an October birthday, it was a great fall activity for the kids :-)

We went to Brads Produce. Their birthday party information in on their website. We did the Lil' Kernels Party, and even though it says for 4 and under, we had up to age 6 and everyone had a good time.

  • Check out Clark's Farm.  They have all of the old Enchanted Forest stuff (lots of storybook displays), and it would be great for that time of year
