Thank you so much for posting this today. In addition to remembering those we lost, let's also remember those we continue to lose.
My brother was a rescue worker (because he was a high-mountain EMT and the rubble was shifting in a way that was similar to avalanche conditions) at Ground Zero from Wednesday, September 12 through Friday, September 14. As a result of those three days eleven years ago, he now has a lung infection that makes it impossible for him to rock climb, do high mountain search and rescue, ice climb, or even climb too many flights of stairs without an inhaler anymore. The Mount Sinai trial he used to be in has had virtually all budgeting cut, so medicines are mostly at cost for him now. In addition, he started showing symptoms of PTSD several years ago that manifest themselves in sad and scary ways.
I'm not always close to my brother; we don't see eye to eye on everything. Today, though, here, I honor him. Thank you for giving me that opportunity, ladies.

I just wanted to share a video and thank everyone for continued support. This is a day no one will ever forget. Please also don't forget all the firefighter and police officers and military that lost their lives that day and since that day fighting for our freedom. I didn't lose anyone that day but I have lost a fiance in the war.

Thank you for this post.

I was at work. We heard reports on the radio. My mom called to tell me what they were saying on TV. As we were talking, the 2nd plane hit and she saw it happen on live TV. Complete and utter shock and terror. I remember crying myself to sleep that night. But at least I could.....

Thank you to those who sacrificed, fought and died and also those who continue to protect our country.
