Attempting to climb out?

My daughter in the last week or so, has been looking like she is trying to climb out of the crib. As of now, her saving grace is she has short stumpy legs--so she can't do it :) 

If your children climbed out of their crib--how long was it from their attempts? I am hoping we have at least a few months before we have to consider her moving to a bed.

Also did anyone have any child that was attempting to climb out--but never actually made it over?

    DD tried about 3-4 months ago. Her feet were inches from the top, but she has yet to ever get all the way out. For the last two months, she hasn't even attempted. I feel we are safe for now :)

    If my kiddo ever attempted to climb out I missed it. For us it seems more like 1 day she just climbed out of the crib. We tried to keep her in a few weeks longer until we moved but ended up just moving her to a bed. However she was about 18 months at the time.
