Are you dressing LO up this year? Ideas? Why? Any family themes running this year? What are your plans for Halloween (hint: it's on a Wednesday this year)?
Any family themes running this year? We will try too
What are your plans for Halloween (hint: it's on a Wednesday this year)? When I get off from work we will all dress up and hit a couple of homes to Trick or Treat
I have big plans to make our own costumes but who knows if it'll get done or be any good. I'm not very crafty but I've thought up a pretty easy way to make our family style costumes this year. I think this weekend, we'll trek out to Michael's and our local fabric store to get supplies.
We are being the Potato Head Family, complete with extra facial parts to change our expressions. Depending on the weather, we'll go downtown to trick or treat and maybe visit some friends that night. It being on a Wednesday makes things a little difficult as DD is a bedtime baby.
I'll be taking lots of pictures so if the costumes are any good, expect an AW post for sure!
There is a Bumpie (I think her SN is something about TripMama as she has triplets), who did this once. It was SO FREAKIN' CUTE!! Good luck!! Can't wait to see how it turns out!
The kids are dressing up. Ds wants to be a wrestler(the wwe kind) not sure about dd. We also thought lady bug because we call her ladybug but I just don't know yet. We go to DH's sister's hood and all trick or treat as a family. I really hope Sophia is walking semi steady because I think that would look so stinking cute with her walking up and down the block:). I'm also worried about getting a costume that's too warm because our weather is crazy and seems off season lately.
I'm not sure what DS will be, I make SO pick out his costumes . He wanted him to be Yoda, but they don't have DS's size so SO will probably buy the next size up and DS will wear it next year. I don't plan on taking him door-to-door trick or treating this year, but I will take him to SO's work, my mom's work and maybe to the neighbors house (only because we are friends). Next year will probably be a different story though - especially with 2 LO's.

We are going to dress as a family of cavepeople. We will decorate the stroller and take him for a long walk to enjoy the sights. I wish he was old enough to ask for candy so I could eat it but I guess it's for the best, lol.
Our latest idea was to dress DD as Pebbles. I liken her more to Bam Bam but the whole gender thing would throw people off.
I feel like I should make homemade costumes and I think this one would be fairly simple, plus she has the hair for it.
We'll see though, it will probably be snowing so the animal print dress will have to fit over a snowsuit! We'll just take her to some close friends and relatives houses and I'll eat her candy quite happily.

I bought this kitty cat costume last year on clearance for DD, I can't wait to put it on her... although I am not sure she will leave the hood alone. Now I just have to get her to say "meow!"
We probably won't do a family themed costume, my DH is festive but a party pooper because he doesn't like to do cheesy things, only funny costumes (at least funny in his eyes!)
I will probably be a kitty cat too... but I really like that shirt Linds.. may have to steal that idea!!!

Are you dressing LO up this year? Definitely! I love Halloween!
Ideas?
Why? I got strong-armed into a pumpkin costume because a friend who works at AC Moore bought the stuff to make it and brought it to me one night.
Any family themes running this year? Nah.
What are your plans for Halloween (hint: it's on a Wednesday this year)? Take the kids around for Trick-or-Treat, and then back home for a relatively tame Halloween party with friends and family (i.e. no alcohol, much to DH's disappointment, lol). We're thinking of doing the front end of the house up like one of Dexter's kill rooms. I even found a recipe for edible blood slides (actually sugar candies). I'm a super Halloween nerd.
I'm in the process of making a red riding hood costume for DD. DH has a wolf costume, so they will match. I'll see if I have any old costumes that will fit.
Our plan is to go to a party at the Osteology (Bone) Museum. DH has been wanting to go for ages and I think it's a perfectly cute spot for a party.
Ideas? Why? Boo from Monsters Inc., Thing 1 for DD and Thing 2 T-shirt for my mini-baby bump, and I saw the cutest sushi costume that I feel I just MUST make for DD. So many options...
Any family themes running this year? No.
What are your plans for Halloween (hint: it's on a Wednesday this year)? DH b-day is the 30th and i'm hoping I can swing a party on that day, probably Halloween-themed. Pumpkin Patch complete with hay ride the weekend before. On the 31st we'll do Trick or Treating, Town Block Party, and Church Fall Festival. Lots of plans for us!
Yes, DD is going to be a pumpkin. We call her "Pumpkin" about 50% of the time, so it's perfect. I got the costume on ebay for $20, so it wasn't too spendy. And I'm sooo not crafty; this is the only way to go for me.
DH and I don't dress up, so it will just be DD. We will go out trick-or-treating on Wednesday night. We live in a rural area so it mostly involves a lot of driving around. We will probably just hit grandparents and great-grandparents and then see how DD is doing to decide if we want to go to a couple other people's houses.

We're just staying home and passing out candy, so C will wear this:
I'll wear this:
Our dog will wear this:
My H is still deciding on a skeleton t-shirt. Big dorky family theme costumes, yay!
Shut the front door.... how cute!!!
