How about "I'll do it later" or "just let me do X first" (where X= something like a TV show, not another chore) OR my favorite "I'll do it before I go to bed". DH has gotten MUCH better with this lately (he gives me a "deadline" and I leave him alone until it has passed, and then I get to "nag" but he can't complain because he said it would be done!) but every now and then he still stalls, I don't know WTF is wrong with men, do they just love having sh!t hanging over their head all the time, just DO IT and move on with your life!

I like the idea of him making the deadline. I might have to steal that one.

I am startig to feel this way about DH putting the child locks on the kitchen cabinets. He is gonna install the "over the weekend". Well he has said that the last 3 weekends. I'm thinking I may just have to find his drill and do it myself.

Yes. I went off this weekend. Too much clutter and I have had zero time to do anything about it this weekend. Stella was up from 1:30 to 5 a.m. the night before. DH let me sleep in a little bit yesterday morning (he worked a half shift) but as soon as I got up I had to race to the mall to find shoes for both Stella and myself as we had a wedding to get to on the other side of town. The wedding was at 2:30, the reception at 6, we spend the in between time at B-dubs (Mom couldn't pick up Stella until almost 5:30) with DH's coworkers and Stella. That was a first, and a last, for a long time! I was exhausted by the time we left the reception, Stella had another rough night last night - due i part to Mom not getting her diaper on properly and she leaked - so by the time this morning rolled around, I am sleep deprived, the clutter got to be too much and I just went off.

MH is getting better... He told me he'd do dishes the other night, and of course the next morning they were still there...but he did them before he went to work. I can handle that. The phrase I hate to hear is "I was going to do that" AFTER I start working on it.

Ahh yes...that one is a close second to "I'll get to it".

This is how anything ever got baby-proofed in our house...along with several other things - I've put air conditioning units in the windows, I have put hand railings back up (after he's taken them down to move furniture or something), I have fixed plumbing problems, HECK I even changed a light fixture - messing with electricity (YES - I did turn off the circuit, but still...) up on a ladder when I was 9 months pregnant with my first! There are times that I amaze my daughter because she thinks that Daddy should do it - but that's why I don't mind, I have two girls and I love to show them that Mommy can do these things too!
