I know it's silly - but I am so glad to reach v-day this week. I think small weights will be lifted off my shoulders knowing that if something goes wrong at this point the doctors will do anything they can to save my LO.

Current Cravings: None actually. My buffalo craving as even gone to the way side.

One I didn't with my first. Two, I really don't want to spend the money. Three, I honestly just feel fat most of the time and I don't want to capture that in a photo forever!

Upcoming Appointments: My 24 week appointment is next Monday- I am so excited. I have SO many questions for my MW this time and Carter is coming with to hear the heartbeat- so exciting!

How is everyone progressing on the nursery? No real progress on the nursery, but I did go through all of DS's clothes last night and pull out all of the gender neutral clothes that this LO can wear. That was a BIG project!
QOTW: WIll you be taking maternity pics?If so, around what week are you planning on taking them? If no, why not? Yes- we are doing them. I have a really close friend who does photography (just starting out) so I have been doing every idea under the sun.... its fun for us and its great for her portfolio. We are planning on the end of October to do the pictures (30 weeks). We wont be doing the "traditional" maternity pics though.... more like engagement pics. Outside.... side shots so my belly shows, but not actually exposing my belly- so not my thing!
That is EXACTLY how I feel about v-day. I know it still wouldnt be good to delivery LO right now, but at least if that were to happen, there is a chance of survival.
Good Morning! I had a good but busy weekend! I scored some great deals on baby clothes this weekend and got a lot accomplished around the house on Sunday.
Upcoming Appointments: Tonight DH & I are taking our the hospital tour were I'm delivering and we have our next OB appointment September 25th.

How is everyone progressing on the nursery? It's almost finished. We have to buy a chair, wardrobe and hang art.

Share a belly pic if you have one! nope, she's only popped my belly out 1 1/2" in the last month. I guess she likes being cramped. I had the first person who didn't already know I was pregnant ask me about it last Friday and I felt like I'd climbed mount everest.
How is everyone progressing on the nursery? in a standstill right now waiting on other construction in the house but if she showed up right now we'd be fine (besides the whole premature thing) the crib is together and I have a dresser that still needs to be painted and a rocker.

No real maternity pictures. we might get some nicer unprofessional photos but that will be it. While I'd like a record of what I looked like I don't really want to pay for them, we also didn't have a wedding photographer so I would feel weird having one and not the other.

Nah, i take enough at home that come out great! We are gonna use the money for family portraits once baby arrives.

so I'm happy about that. And Bloodwork is booked for the 30th of this month.

it looks so good. I'm just looking for some big decals to put on one of the walls. And the crib and change table should get here early November.
Will you be taking maternity pics? I would like to. I don't know if I actually will or not. I really need to look into pricing and such. I think I would rather have newborn pictures taken if I get one or the other. So we will see

I know two people around our family in the last six months that have delivered about this time, its so sad, but thank goodness we have great medical care now where they have a fighting chance.

How is everyone progressing on the nursery? Decent, we finally painted the room and we get our furniture today! So then we need to do curtains and bedding and we will will be set up for the most part.

I am pretty cheap, so I dont want to pay someone, and we have someone who does gorgeous pictures for a pretty cheap price, but they are 3 hours away and I just dont want to travel either. ) For me, its the opposite. for whatever reason, baby must LOOVVVEEE his/her daddy's voice, bc whenever DH is home and talks to my belly and rubs it, the baby goes CRAAZZYYY!

How is everyone progressing on the nursery? We had it almost finished when the hurricane hit, so now we have to fix some more damage. It's painted, has a crib, rocker, loveseat, curtains, a changing table (that I made myself out of an old dresser), but we had to reupholster the couch and buy a new crib mattress from the flood damage.

We're being careful to make sure we have plenty of photos of me pregnant. We're not going to have a pro photographer, but my sister has offered to take some more fancy ones. We'll probably shoot them down at my parent's farm.
I'm seriously stoked to get to V-Day! It's like a huge relief. On to the next goal of 28 weeks

How is everyone progressing on the nursery? Pretty good! We got everything sorted out from what we recieved at my shower last weekend.
I need to get a bookshelf and I'm going to work on some art work and try to get that hung up this week/weekend 
It's already painted and the cribs and changing table have already been put together.

It's pretty early, but I don't want to be overly huge (because I will get big) and I don't want to risk being on bedrest either. We are sticking with more of a couples photoshoot type thing. We just wanted some pictures to capture this time, nothing dramatic or risky. Simple and classic is what we like.

We are going to do photos more in a "couple" direction than the "maternity" direction, but our photographer is also including a NB session in the cost...we plan on using our pre-baby pics for family Christmas cards & will probably take them at the end of October (~30-31 weeks)

Me & DD had to move in with my mom due too many stairs at our apartment(4 flights)and it is just way too hard for me. We are currently looking for a new apartment that will be good for me, DH, and kiddos.

Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. It's not a pregnancy thing though - I just love pumpkin and yesterday was the first day pumpkin felt appropriate. I found a recipe for a pumpkin sauce [it's on my blog if you want to make it] and it's great. Awesome on ice cream, peanut butter toast & in lattes. I could put it on almost anything.

Lots of nursery questions today! We're in a 1BR apartment until she's 6 months, then we're moving to the Philippines for 2 years. Since it's not a permanent house [it'll be a long time before we settle down] we won't do much in a nursery.

I'm not interested in taking maternity photos. I have DH take a picture of me each week to watch the progression but nothing professional. We didn't do engagement photos & we took as few photos of just us at our wedding as the photographers would let us get away with!

OMG- I LOVE halloween oreos. Seriously, for some reason, the orange filling tastes so much better!! Also, I recently found out that Oreos don't have any milk in them, making them the only chocolate cookie on the planet that I can eat right now (since pregnancy has made me lactose intolerant).
