NWMR: PB Kids lunchboxes & ice packs?

I love the little ice packs and the lunch boxes are so cute. Anyone have them? Are they durable and practical or is the $$ just for the cuteness?

  • We had the "retro" lunch boxes for the last three years.  I don't know how long they should last with daily use, so if three years is good, then they were great.  We bought new ones for this fall (splurged for the planet box with stainless steel containers).  I hope those last a little longer because the food goes in the container and the drink has a separate pouch on the outside.  I think our other lunch boxes took a hit because I had to clean them frequently because of open containers spilling.

I'm sure you could get something similar for much less if you wanted.

Sorry to go off post topic but thank you MammaBear for the suggestions.  I have been looking for the "right" lunch system for DS.  His school really encourages environmentally conscious lunches.  I just ordered a planet box kit.  I'm a bit sad that it will be tougher to send food eaten warm but I think it will be worth it.

  • We use one almost daily and have for 2 years.  I think it is very durable in addition to just being cute :)
