Alright so this is my first IUI cycle. Clomid 50mg 59. 8/29 Wed lead follicle was 21 LH wasn't high enough so Dr. instructed to have one more blood work done before trigger shot. Blood work done 08/30 Thurs and trigger shot administered 8:30p. IUI was done 8:00am 09/01 Sat. So today is 8 days post trigger shot and 6dpiui. I couldn't resist and tested today hpt was a bfp but I'm not sure if it's a false positive and the trigger shot is still in my system. 5dpiui my nurse called to let me know my progesterone was 12 not great considering it was a medicated cycle but she said it indicated that I ovulated this cycle. She scheduled me to come in Saturday 09/15 from my bloodwork. I'm not sure if my symptoms are 'true' or just Ovidrel induced TMI warning but I have very sensitive...actually VERY sore nipples, twinges/cramping only on one side similar to ovulation pain, fatigue, recently a bit 'emotional'. Gosh I think I tested way too soon. Maybe I should just keep testing the trigger shot until it leaves my system until its negative then hopefully a bfp next week before my scheduled bloodwork. My husband and I watched the hpt together and after we had to talk ourselves down and say we still have until next week to get the definite yes or no. What do you think I should since I tested too soon? Keep testing the trigger shot OR just wait until the bloodwork next Saturday? Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and sending good baby vibes to everyone!

Re: Couldn't resist HPT 8 days post trigger
GL either way!!!! Baby dust!!
Tried to conceive on our own for a year before moving on to fertility treatments. Dx unexplained. About 10 months of procedures, shots, and countless doctor appointments, we got our BFP! BFN on 5 IUI's
IVF#1 - ER 09/14/12, ET 09/17/12: two 8 cells, BFP: 9/28 Beta#1 56.8; 10/2 Beta#2 284; 10/5 Beta#3 939; 10/9 Beta #4 4967. One baby on board with EDD 06/07/13!
Unlikely to be a true positive at only 6dpiui. My trigger always stuck around until 13-14dpt, but others have it leave their system before then. Symptoms mean little...can just as easily be attributed to medicated hormone levels.
I always tested the trigger out (or at least tested until beta.) Hard to get a definitive from hpts, unless they get dark shortly before beta. My advice is to assume all faint positives are trigger related. GL!
Antagonist IVF 7 retrieved, 4 fert w/ICSI&AH, 2 blasts transferred. Beta #1 9/20: 367 Beta #2 9/22: 841
Just an example...
Waiting two weeks? So freaking hard!!!!
