I think bedsharing with LO is strange. I can understand doing it in the first 3 month because they wake up constantly and it is easier for the parents. After that they should be sleeping in their own crib.

I don't know how unpopular it is... but a post in TTGP last night once again thought me thinking about this issue, for the first time since one of my prison classes in college.
Health care in prison should be at the most BASIC level. Something contagious and deadly should obviously be treated, something life threatening should be treated, and a stab wound/etc (life threatening or not) should be treated. I do think if you need medicine you should get it (eg- you are diabetic and need insulin)... but you should get a bill for it that is to be charged to you once you get a job, or it can be charged to your insurance if you are lucky enough to be able to keep it while still in prison ( I realize that for many this isn't plausible). I don't believe that someone sentenced to a couple months for stealing a gatorade should essentially receive a life sentence due to not being treated for something, but at the same time there are plenty of us on the outside who haven't broken the law who are struggling to pay for our insurance and won't receive the same level of care.
Oh, and don't get me started on illegal immigrants and free health care....
Hopefully not opening a can of worms here.. but I think it's total BS that all of a sudden everyone in America is allergic to wheat and gluten free is THE thing to do. Seriously, the first 32 years of your life everything was great then one day your doctor magically said you were allergic to wheat? Give me a break.
I am voting for very UO..... Romney/Ryan! Why? Because Obama has done a crappy job and anyone that thinks other wise must of lived under a rock the past 3 1/2 years.

Sex reassignment surgery for a murderer? For real?
Well you already know my stance on this one; convicted murderers should not serve life sentences or wait on death row for the death penalty. Death immediately following conviction is my feeling on it. Then we dont have to worry about medical treatment. Because they are dead.
I need surgery on both feet but can't afford insurance or the surgery itself i know, i am a terrible pos person so the thought of a murderer getting government funded elective surgery just p!sses me off.

For some people, they have spent a long time feeling like crap and not knowing why. Finally by cutting out certain foods--often dairy, gluten, or soy--they feel better. Also, the body goes through hormonal changes all the time that can cause the appearance of new allergies and intolerances. I spent 21 years with only one food allergy, and then I went for several months where new allergies--some to the point of being life threatening (shellfish)--started popping up.
I have heard in passing that some food intolerances (wheat/dairy/soy) may have a strong relation to the weight of the affected person. I am not sure of the validity of that statement.
I think that it is stupid that people expect that I am keeping up with their life via social networks. Unless someone tells me something IRL (face to face/phone/e-mail) they shouldn't expect it to be on my radar.

See, here I am thinking people that DON'T think he has done a good job have been living under a rock. It's the Republican Congress that has sucked @ss and has blocked everything/anything that Obama tries to do to better the economy- JOBS BILL ANYONE?!
2. It makes me very nervous and scared to think about Romney/Ryan running our nation. I don't want to lose health rights just because i'm a woman.
3. Planned Parenthood does so much more than abortions and it drives me crazy that people can't see the good they do and deem them "baby killers."
I'm not scared of Romney taking away my rights as a woman if he became president... honestly it's a cold day in hell before that would even pass and no one is going to want to touch the issue. It's kinda like the whole immigration thing-- no one wants to mess with it either way, despite what they may have promised, because they don't want to risk offending anyone and losing votes/support.
I won't touch the Obama thing with a 10 foot pole. I'm sick of his ads and sick of all the crap surrounding the election. Having graduated early with the honors title of Summa *** Laude, I find it ridiculous that I can't find a job in this economy. Start creating jobs and I might respect you.
Oh and another UO (which probably isn't a UO it's just bothering me currently):
If you're married, you shouldn't be posting provocative or revealing pictures of yourself online. Maybe I'm just conservative, but a midriff jersey paired with booty shorts isn't appropriate for a mom of 2 (even if she's 20-25) and a wife. Also, this person had men commenting on her outfit and how she looked (she's one of those "you couldn't even tell I carried a baby within hours after birth"). I asked my husband if I was that skinny if he would be proud to have his wife post those pics or ashamed and he thought it was completely innappropriate and he would be pissed.

What I'm reading here, is that you don't like what Romney is saying and yet you're going to vote for him?
I fail to understand why people that are obviously not happy with the 2 top candidates vote for them anyways. There are other options, people and unless we start exercising those options we will forever be stuck in our antiquated 2 party system

I agree with this. I get annoyed talking to someone who hasn't worked in months but yet they aren't willing to move or work in retail. Our neighbors to the west are begging people to move there! I'm talking about North Dakota, people, the next hottest place to live!

You can get annoyed all you want, but unless you know someone's situation, I wouldn't judge them. I have been applying for jobs in different states and so has DH. I am apparently "overqualified" for most retail, and have applied for lots of retails/entry level jobs. Trying to sell our house in this economy isn't going to be fun either, but I would be willing to if I could find a job there.

I don't know whether you are currently collection unemployment and I know that has an impact as well. I know here in CO, if you are offered a job, you are required to take it, so you definitely wouldn't want to apply for any jobs that paid less than what you're getting in unemployment. The system is f-ed up.
I am no expert on your situation. For sure. I don't even know where you live, so I can't comment on the housing or job market.

VP is really a meaningless position. The only job they really do is break a tie if the senate has one. Which we all know that doesn't happen often. Or the president dies. I would be more concerned about Biden. He seems like his mind is going.

Smilelari-- I know you aren't annoyed I was referring to Jenny. I think your feedback is always nice on these posts even if you don't agree with other posters.
Unfortunately for me I don't get unemployment but DH is getting his. MD unfortunately is the same way as CO. They expect you to take $7.25/hr when you are making like... $12 something on unemployment and were making much more before that. I strongly believe this is one of the reasons why so many people are on unemployment around here. No decent paying jobs available unless you know someone/ have 10 years of specialized experience.
We might be able to break even on our house if we moved.... and honestly I would love to move. I just don't see moving right now unless me and/or DH (depending on salary) have guaranteed jobs where we're moving to.
My boss was fine for the first 35 years of her life and then started to develop severe joint pain, hand swelling and numbness, and GI issues. She saw so many specialists and had so many blood panels done over 6 months. She was on quite a few pain medications that had horrible side effects and weren't helping. The doctors wanted to diagnose her with fibromyalgia and she didn't agree. She was getting extremely depressed and anxious and it was affecting her work. She was finally referred to an allergist and he recommended she go gluten free. After 2 weeks all of her symptoms have resolved and now if she has anything with gluten she feels the affects within hours.
She has done quite a bit of research and what she has found is that they are processing our wheat differently than in the past (I don't know the specifics, this is just what she's told me). There are also so many people eating way more processed foods than ever before and they put wheat in everything.

This bothers me to no end as well. Yes it's great you have a diet that works, but there is a teacher at my school who is insane with it. She told me she won't touch anything in my room since it's "ridden with gluten". Uh, I teach 6/7 year olds, not wheat.

I think, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the law Gov. Brewer signed into law is geared towards abortion. Since abortion laws are super strict here, I imagine this is yet another abortion law.

I am apparently "overqualified" for most retail, and have applied for lots of retails/entry level jobs. Trying to sell our house in this economy isn't going to be fun either, but I would be willing to if I could find a job there.
I'm not annoyed
I don't know whether you are currently collection unemployment and I know that has an impact as well. I know here in CO, if you are offered a job, you are required to take it, so you definitely wouldn't want to apply for any jobs that paid less than what you're getting in unemployment. The system is f-ed up.
I am no expert on your situation. For sure. I don't even know where you live, so I can't comment on the housing or job market.

I hate comedy and my DH loves to watch it. It drive me crazy and doesn't usually get 1 chuckle out of me.
I'm not into going to the movie theater....other than the nachos and popcorn!
There are also so many people eating way more processed foods than ever before and they put wheat in everything.
my read shelf:
This bothers me to no end as well. Yes it's great you have a diet that works, but there is a teacher at my school who is insane with it. She told me she won't touch anything in my room since it's "ridden with gluten". Uh, I teach 6/7 year olds, not wheat.
I think, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the law Gov. Brewer signed into law is geared towards abortion. Since abortion laws are super strict here, I imagine this is yet another abortion law.
