happy with one

I have not posted much because it is hard to do from my phone, but the new format seems to work now. I keep reading new baby posts and I'm happy for anyone who wants to expand their families. I guess I feel like an odd duck out that I only want one at least for now. I know it doesn't mean I'm any less of a parent, but part of a different club? I'm not sure what responses I'm looking forjust getting it off my chest.

Re: happy with one

  • There is nothing wrong with having just one child, in fact, I know a few women on here that are one and done. I am sure if feels odd to you because so many on this board are already pregnant again or just had their second child, but just be proud that you want to be a mother of one and move on. :)

    This!!!

When a lot of the mommas on this board starting posting a few months back that they were expecting again, I starting feeling a lot of confusion.  "Do I want another baby yet - or ever - and should I be wanting another one already??" was running through my mind.  I felt very content with my family, and that told me that there wasn't any rush to jump into anything.  As long as you are happy, don't sweat it!  Maybe down the road you'll feel like you want another, and maybe not.  As long as you are happy with your family, that is what matters :)

  • If you feel whole and satisfied by your baby, that's great! The number of children is different for everyone, but the feeling is the same. Only you know when your family is complete.

  • Thank you eesome and everyone else for the support. It was what I needed today. It really is appreciated.
  • I am happy with one as well. I feel complete and couldnt imagine another one in my life...and I am not saying "For a while anyways" I truly mean it when I say I am one and done. Nothing is wrong with that. You are not alone.

  • Gillie thanks for that. It is nice to know I have company. :. Not that it should matter, but I needed to hear it today.
  • You're not alone. We are in the one and done category for now. Our plan is to talk about it again in 34 years. :

  • Haha that was exceptionally funny. I think it makes perfect sense to talk about in 34 years.
