Anyone familiar with the skull gender theory??

I am DYING to know what I am having this time around. I have two beautiful daughters, ages 8 and 15 mos. I heard this skull theory, which basically says you can tell the gender from a sono by looking at the shape of the skull. I don't know the exact formula but if anyone is familiar with it, would you care to take a guess??

    What I have read is the a flat forehead is boy and a rounded forehead is girl, from your u/s picks I would say boy

    Is there any scientific basis for this or is it more of an old wives tale? I'm looking at my 12 u/s sound pictures and definitely see a rounder skull. (I'm not tech savy enough to figure out how to post them though)

    Well, I believe there is some science to it. They can tell from human remains if it is a male or female by the skull. However, some people do say that it may not work for fetuses because the skull is not formed completely yet. It is definaltey true for adult skulls though so I think it is probably more believable than anything else right now. I also have 2 girls and they both have a rounded skull that you can clearly see. So it was correct for them. Big Smile

    I just checked my ultrasound pics, and my baby has a rounded skull. I'll let you know if it's a girl in two weeks!

    Interesting, I'd never heard of this. I just checked my son's 12 weeks u/s pic and sure enough his head was super flat (just like your little peanut's)

    We didn't do the nt scan this time so I'll have to wait and see :)

    Thanks ladies! I do think it has a lot of truth to it! I will keep you updated as well. We'll find out last week in September hopefully.

    No idea the validity of this. I have never heard this before. I checked my u/s and the skull is flat as a board. At my 15 wk u/s, the tech couldn't tell the sex, but said it was probably a girl.

    I will hopefully find out for sure on Wednesday.

    Hmm, that's interesting. Our baby has a very round forehead. I'll get to find out soon!

    I'm having a girl and her forehead looks pretty flat to me in ultrasounds.
