Anyone have the itch?

hey ladies,

A friend of mine had her 2nd baby on August 11th, and I went to visit her in the hospital, I was holding her DD the whole hour I was there, it really makes me want to have another one! so I spoke to my DH and we are going to try for #2 when DD turns 1, I can't wait to complete our family! (we only want 2 children)

Anyone else have the itch for another LO?

Oh yes. But we are done. However I think it REALLY depends on how your first kid is... DS2 is much easier than DS1 was so I've had baby fever for a while, having had such a positive experience so far. But with DS1 I wasn't even considering another baby until he was 2 or so. He was hard work. And still is. !!

Hee! That's really cute. It's funny, I really thought I would not want another one and as hard as it can be sometimes, I've found that I do! Time is just flying by so fast. I definitely want to wait until DS is at least 2 before starting to try again though.

Yes, and now that I am almostdefinitely for sure graduating this December it is looking more realistic to start trying when he is one as well. I dunno though. It would be REALLY comfortable financially if we wait till my husband is done with his apprenticeship. But the uterus wants what the uterus wants..

Lily is a great baby so far, she sleeps good, eats good and is happy about 95% of the time she is happy. I think the hardest part must be having baby fever and knowing your done.

I thought about waiting until DD was 2, but than I saw my friends baby, DD is growing sooo fast, I really miss her being so little! and I would love to have my kids be really close in age.

my SIL has 2 they are 5 and 2, and she is having a hard time going through all these milestones with her kids knowing she won't be having anymore, but she has 2 baby nieces, my LO who is 5 months and her sister's LO who is 7 months, so she gets her baby fix all the time!!

I've been thinking about this a LOT lately! I decided that I DO want another one and once I convince DH that he does, too, we can try again! I'm thinking that we will try when LO turns one.

Umm yes! Plus I work in maternity and seeing the squishy babies and the feelings of being their with a new LO makes me want to. It's a little different with thinking of a third than the second. Plus I have 2under2, just plannng if I want 3 under 3, DH is on board but its a hard decision for me. We will try either in January or when ds2 turns 1. I love the spacing of my boys!

Yep, I love being pregnant and I love having a sweet baby in the house. Both my boys have been easy going babies and that makes it so much easier to want a third. Ideally if we could sell this lame ass 2 bedroom home and be settled in a year or two we need to move closer to DH's job then maybe when ds2 is about 1.52 then we could try for a third.

It comes and goes. Right now it is gone! We watched a video of Henry last night, he was almost two weeks old and in the end he cried. I get anxious just thinking about that cry, he wasnt even that bad, just his witching hour. But I had ppd, and hearing that video made me not want a new one for a while. I hope next time I don't get ppd, but it wasn't fun. I want this stage he is in to last and last.

Hells to the no! One and done. I think having a second might actually kill me. I had the most wonderful pregnancy til 34 weeks. Then my BP was soooo high. At 35 weeks I went into premature labor and was pulled from work. I am the sole bread-winner, so this was sooooo hard. Then, LO was HUGE, so I was a planned c-section. Here in Las Vegas v-bac is practically unheard of. One and done here. I'll enjoy looking @ everyone else's kids!

No, I don't have the desire for another just yet. We want to wait until DD is 2 or 3 before we start trying again. I really want to give 100% of my time to DD right now.

But I really loved being pregnant! I miss that part so much.

It sounds insane and I hate that I care about stuff like this but I have two weddings next year that are holding me back. If it weren't for the weddings and the 10 to 15 lbs I'm still holding on to I'd want to try for another very soon.

I'm thinking we'll try next summer.

Dh is really excited for when we have more, he said that he hopes that it takes several months again... I think he liked DTD all the time, haha. My IL's have credit card points for a free cruise that they are taking all of the kids on, it will be our turn next Dec. I was pretty sick my whole pregnancy so I don't want to be pregnant on the cruise so we are planning on trying after the cruise in Dec, '13. Maybe we can try to push the cruise up a few months though. Yep, we are planing our family planning around a cruise. I missed out on a free vacation to Hawaii with work because I was to go about a week after DS was born so I'm not going to miss out on this vacation!

Yes! I have two friends expecting in Feb and one this month. It's making me miss being pregnant, and having a tiny newborn. Our goal is to wait until LO's first birthday.

sure, I definitely want more I have no doubt. However regarding timing I am not sure.

If I weren't a working mom then things would be different, but as it stands I feel like I can't just up and get pregnant again when I just took 12 weeks off. I feel like my career has really taken a hit with this pregnancy/baby what with the time off, the lack of focus for a lot of my pregnancy and now with being back and having a hard time.

Most likely I'll wait until next year, late summer maybe for a 2 year age gap. I too have a vacation planned for next year, not sure on the dates yet and will hopefully plan around that so I'm not spending the vacation wanting to hurl. The first trimester sucked for me last time.

I love the wee babies! Seeing a video I took of her when she was a floppy 1 week old made me nostalgic. I love how she is now even more probably but still, every stage is so sweet!

Even today I am so sleep deprived from her being up all night (stupid 4 month wakeful) yet I think fondly of her giggling face at 4am when I changed her diaper because she pooped and peed all over her pjs. I just love her! I feel like I want more.
