Any Unexplained RPL Success Stories? (XP)

Hi Ladies!

DH and I have 2 children and have been trying for #3 for more than a year. I have had 4 miscarriages. We know one was a chromosomal issue but my RE said he does not believe that all 100% were chromosomal and thinks something else is going on. All tests and bloodwork have come back normal except for a positive ANA but no symptoms for any autoimmune issues. We aren't cleared to TTC again yet, but when we are, it will be our last shot. If we have another loss, that's it. We just can't keep doing this. At this point my RE plans to put me on clomid then prog. and lovenox starting at CD 20.

If you had success after unexplained RPL, will you please share your story and what treatment, if any, finally worked for you? Thank you!

I had two losses that were both unexplained. The only thing I did differently with my third pg was I took baby aspirin. I had testing done for clotting disorders but no chromosomal testing. And my tests all came back normal. I'm not sure if it was the baby aspirin that made the difference or not.

Sorry for your losses. Good luck with whatever you decide. Continuing to try after repeat loss was one of the hardest things I did but it worked out for me.

First, I'm very sorry for your losses.. I can't really comment, except I know I have a friend who had RPL success and she, too, was put on baby aspirin.. I wish you all the luck in the world..

I'm sorry about your losses. I had 2 MC both unexplained one at 10 Weeks 5 days and one at 6 weeks. We had all the test done and they couldn't find any reason. It took me 18 month after my 1st MC to get Pg and than had another loss and than go pg 2 cycles laster with my lo. I did ended up Re care after my losses and took follistim injections with Projectrone supp and took extra folic acid and baby asprin too.

I had a diagnosis of RPL due to poor quality uterine lining. I had a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks followed by three chemical pregnancies, then finally got pregnant with DD the cycle after my third c/p. That was also my second cycle using progesterone, and it seemed to have done the trick.

First, I am sorry for your losses. I know it's scary to think about trying again. I had two unexplained losses before I had my miracle baby. With my third loss I used clomid because I wasn't ovulating regularly. On my third cycle of clomid I got a bfp! Immediately my doctor put me on progesterone. I think I was on it until 20 weeks. Let me warn you though being on the clomid made me develop a cyst since it forced my body to ovulate. Best of luck! I pray that this will make for a sticky baby!

I had 5 losses and difficulty conceiving - all unexplained. After 7 yrs of homeopathic and TCM treatments and two Clomid/IUI cycles, incl. some "hard" RPL drugs (like Prednisone), we had enough. We went to the top clinic in the nation for our final try. My 4th RE did some things the other REs hadn't - a 3D u/s that diagnosed a "minor to moderate" fundal septum (thickness at the top of the uterus, not detected on by HSG, SHG, hystero, or laparo surgeries) and my DH was "prescribed" 4 vitamins to bring his DNA sperm integrity to 100% excellent (almost helped him lose weight)! Worked for us. After those we might have tried TTC naturally again and succeeded, but we were at our wits end and just needed the journey to be over one way or another so did IVF-ICSI-PGS - and met our DD. My therapist said most folks stop after 3 losses. Oh which reminds me, my friend had 4 pg losses: 1 late term loss, 2 mcs, adopted a DD, had another mc - no treatments ever - and naturally conceived and bore a DS. So 5 pgs, 1 live birth!

3 losses. hetero MTHFR but so is about 25-30% of the US. so really unexplained.

For our 4th pregnancy we did,

81 mg ASA prior to conception and all through pregnancy

4 mg folic acid daily (yes mg)

Progesterone from 3-4 dpo until 12ish weeks

I kept that pregnancy and it was twins.

I had a missed miscarriage and then gave birth to DS. We we tried for another, I had 3 miscarriages in 7 months, and then 13 months of not being able to get pregnant. There was no explanation for my miscarriages, nor my inability to get pregnant after always getting pregnant on the first try. Because of the number of losses, my RE told me I had a 50/50 shot of having another successful pregnancy.

When I did become pregnant with dd, I didn't do anything different to get pregnant, but I was put on progesterone supplements as a precaution. I asked my RE about baby aspirin, but he said nothing in my bloodwork indicated that it would do any good. He said it probably couldn't hurt anything, but it likely wouldn't help either.
