Totally bought maternity pants

Yes, it's early. Yes, they were expensive (even at 40% off). Yes, I know I'm not really showing yet but damnit! They're comfortable and I'm sick of using a bella band and/or a rubber band with my jeans. I have zero regret! I am now a fan of maternity jeans and I think everyone should go out and get a pair.

I've had bloating so bad that I've lost 7 lbs since I found out I was pregnant and my pants still won't button or zip. Ick. These pants are soooooo much more comfortable and I feel way less self-conscious.

Re: Totally bought maternity pants

  • I totally agree with you.  I have been wearing my maternity pants since like 5 weeks because the bloat was so bad! Now that I've started wearing them, I won't go back!   So comfy!

  • I'd love to put on a pair(9wks w/#4), but my shirts aren't long enough to cover the panel of the really comfy ones. What kind of fit did you get?

  • I agree they are so comfortable, last time I never got a bella band because I found that maternity jeans are so comfy.  I have ones that just have the elastic around the waste and not the big panel those were better for the 1st and early 2nd trimester, after that I constantly had to pull them up.
  • I've been doing the hairband trick but am mostly wearing sweats and yoga pants around the house b/c they are so much more comfortable. I have only gained 2 lbs. but definitely have bloat. I need to get a bella band.

  • I'm totally already wearing maternity pants, especially my dressy work ones.  I hated the bella band when I tried it before...  And if you find any maternity stuff on sale, buy it now.. because you will be needing them very soon!

  • That makes me feel better--I bought maternity pants too. I am still able to wear the pants that were almost too big pre-pregnancy, but I don't think I'm going to make it to 12 weeks in my "normal" pants. I have been bloaty as well.

  • I'm right behind you sister.  I have only been wearing tights lately because my jeans are very uncomfortable.

  • Dude, I totally bought 2 pair yesterday! BEST. DECISION. EVER. They are so comfy!!!

I'm almost 10 weeks, and I think my belly is officially popped. Yesterday it all of a sudden looked noticeably bigger and more projected. My Dr. warned me that it would happen before 12 weeks cause of my short stature. He was right! :)

  • I feel so much better. I've gained maybe a pound and a half, but I can't fit into any of my jeans or dress pants. It's nice to know I'm not alone!

  • A sister-friend gave me a pair of maternity jeans from Old Navy yesterday and I'm in love! I'm super bloated and have been using rubber bands and the Bella band, but regular jeans are so uncomfortable. I'm with you!

  • I broke mine out, but I can't get them to stay up, even with a darn Bella Band. I'm going to sew some clips to them to attach to my bra, since I never got around to that last time.
