Lets talk Halloween costumes

Are you planning on doing family "themed" costumes?

If yes what?

If no, what will your LO be?

Are you going out for Halloween?

My answers are: Maybe. She maybe a cupcake and we will be "chefs" or I like the strawberry costume at Old Navy or maybe a bee and DH a Gardener and I would be a flower.

We plan on family rounds, ie: grandparents, my sister and my aunts. I'm not sure what our nephew is doing this year but he usually goes trick or treating with his cousin so maybe we can swing by there early enough to catch him but we won't be going trick or treating.

The plan right now is homemade Crayola costumes. All I need is black shirt and pants and some fabric. Sadly my H won't dress up, but I will. Maybe I can convince my mom to since she goes with us.

We will probably take c out with my sister's kiddos. They usually do a church fall festival and stop by to trick or treat family. I'm wanting c to be a baby dinosaur.

Our family is big enough to complete themes, but trying to get everyone on board is always a challenge.

LO will be a pumpkin this year. The big girls haven't decided yet. We also reuse costumes to save money since they can be expensive.

We will just trick or treat in our neighborhood, its also on a workday so nothing too late.

The cupcake costume sounds adorable!

Ari is the only one dressing up. Maybe next year we go trick or treating will Dh and I dress up. Ari is going to be a frog and I can't wait! The costume is so freaking cute!

We will for sure be doing a family theme next year when the little ones are older. This year the little ones aren't going out. All of our LOs have a 7:00 bedtime and they usually start getting cranky and ready for bed at 6:30. I just can't see pushing them past bedtime for something they won't even know what is going on with. I am excited and will be anxiously awaiting next year.

We're doing blueberry pie and bakers. Now we have a halloween party to go to with other families so I'm dying to get DD a 2nd costume for actual halloween... but we'll see.

DS1 just decided today - he is going to be a storm tropper and the baby is going to be Darth Vader (awesome). DH and I aren't into dressing up, but I don't think I can resist at least wearing some Princess Leia hair buns.

We also still have the Tom Arma monkey costume from when DS1 was a baby, so I think DS2 will wear that to some of our Halloween events. We usually have a few parties to go to, so we can mix it up a bit.

And we are definitely going out! I'll just pop the baby in the stroller while DS1 makes his rounds. He LOVES Halloween.

A is being Hedwig, I am being Ginny Weasley, DH is being Harry Potter, my white bulldog is being Dumbledore, and my brown bully is being Snape.

We don't have any family here, but I think we'll be stopping by a few friends houses or having some people over, I haven't decided yet. I love Halloween so much!

I had thought about dressing DD1 as Little Bo Peep and DD2 can be her sheep. Not 100% decided though. We have several family friendly events we plan on taking them to.

We're doing a Jurassic Park theme. DH is going to be Dr. Grant, I'm going to be Dr. Satler and LO is going to be a dinosaur. And our Chow Chow will possibly sport some sort of dinosaur get-up as well. : ) We'll probably go trick-or-treating with our little nephews. Not gonna lie, we will probably trick or treat on LO's behalf and eat it all the candy.

Oh yes, there is a theme. A theme there will be. We are keeping it a surprise.

However H will likely want to pic her own or wear her Cinderella dress so our theme may be for photo ops only. I also HAVE to buy D a Stay Stuff Marshmellow onsie I found on Etsy and I kind of want her to be an owl while I dress up like a tree for a baby wearing costume. So, Halloween might last several days if I don't find the ability to reign in my enthusiasm. She's my last baby, she can have 3 costumes if I want! :-)

The following year she will be Madeline just like her sister was her 2nd year. I found the best plaid dress and an Etsy seller that made the hat and cape. It is too cute not to use it again.

No family costumes, as DH will not dress up, but the kids are going to coordinate. I think I'm going to have DS be a fireman and DD be a dalmatian. I'm itching to make a tutu for her to wear over her little white sweatsuit!

We're planning on going to my mom's house and trick or treat in her neighborhood. Our neighborhood doesn't really have trick or treating and I don't want to go to MIL's because her neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks.

I am on the fence about it, DD wants to be Jasmin and I was thinking DS to be a tiger for Rajah, but then I thought it would be cute her being Lil Mermaid and DS be a crab and we carry him in a pot and we be the chef's. Then my DH wants him to be the hulk since he is such a solid boy and it would be cute, but I want them to match.ahhh not sure what to do

We are doing family costumes for the halloween fair we go to. The kids are Thing 1, 2, and 3. Dog is the Cat in the Hat. For trick or treating, DD is being a ladybug, and DS's have yet to decide.

I am not allowed to do anythin other than use one of the old musty gross lame costumes DH's mother has stashed in her closet for LO. Well, sorry DH dressing LO up as an elephant in a giant ugly costume that literally every kid in your family has worn at some point doest float my boat.nbsp;So I guess what I'm saying is, no LO will not be dressing up, no we are not going out. We wouldn't have gone anywhere but family anyway because it feels sneaky to use a baby to get candy...its not like you're gonna save it up till they are old enough.The irony being that I was alloed to buy costumes for the dogs.nbsp;

I would either make something or tell him he is being a pr!ck and buy it without his consent.
