Cloth Diaper Vacation Success!

Just wanted to tell you I just went on a 3 day vacation and it went great.  My husband was reluctant to try cloth diapering at first, but earlier last week he asked me how I was going to handle the diapers while we were gone.  When I told him I wanted to use cloth he asked if I had enough to last 3 days.  I knew it would be close and we did laundry in the hotel last night and actually my husband did a majority of it.  

While we were out and about and I was changing LO, DH said, "can you imagine if we were using disposables, we would have to find a place to throw the diaper away."  Yeah!! I got my husband convinced!!

Anyways, Vacation was a success with the cloth diapers and I would do it all again, except next time with out the IL's! :)

    Congrats! 

    We went on vacation just about a year ago.  It was our first vacation as a family and although I really wanted to CD, I was pretty apprehensive about how it all would go and everyone (even other CD'ing moms I know) kept telling me to just get some disposables (although MH was on board with using cloth). 

    We were gone for just over a week and it ended up working out just fine!  I was really glad that we decided to go with what we know.  It really wasn't a big deal at all and I ended up washing 2x while at the hotel.  They had a laundromat on the same floor as our room so it worked out really well for us!

    This is our second 4 day vacation away using cloth. I just make sure to wash the night before we leave and then immediately when we get back. I have enough diapers to last me inbetween w/o having to wash away from home. I just bring our pail liner to put the dirty dipes in and it is absolutely no more difficult to use cloth than disposables while away. We were away for 2 weeks over Christmas visiting my parents when DD was not even 2 months yet and we used cloth then too, just washed in my mom's machine. My mom is very pro cloth diapering too, so that helped.
