TTC After a Loss

Changed CM readings . . is this month a lost cause?

I re-read the definitions of CM types and changed the 'watery' days to either sticky or creamy, now there's literally no fertile signs on my chart. I think what's confusing is it feels moist and slippery in there, but there's almost nothing to scoop out and what does scoop out is at best a lotiony texture, not really watery and definitely not EWCM.

I'm half thinking about throwing in the towel on this cycle and going to get my Femara to get ready for next cycle. My cycles are generally 28 days long +/- 2 days. I feel like having no fertile signs at this point means even if I O this cycle, it's going to be too late to matter.

Give me some hope (if it's warranted) or give me a kick in the ass to go and buy my meds.

I personally think you need to exhibit some more patience.

If you generally have 28 day cycles I think it would be smart to see if this cycle is in fact about that length and is actually annovulatory, or if your O is just delayed and you'll have a longer cycle.Your body has had a fair amount happen in to it recently with all the surgery and fibroids being removed, it's possible it just needs some time to straighten itself out.

And when you say +/-28, do you mean BEFORE or SINCE your loss?

    Cycles post mc:

1: 28 days from estimated date of fetal demise

    2. 56 days (skipped one whole cycle)

    3. 16 days (because I stopped by BCP mid-cycle)

So it seems like, barring issues, it should be about 28 days still but I don't have a good baseline. They were typically 28 days before.

I really think CD16 is too early to be crying annovulatory at this point. There's just not enough evidence there to be relying on "28 days". If I were you I would wait it out over over medicating - I'm a believer that for the majority of us, our bodies will even out eventually, it just takes some cycles to straighten itself out - and that requires some patience- but it's your decision.

I haven't had EWCM since my loss....I wouldn't worry too much about it. Other than + OPKs, I have no other "fetile" symptoms. Stick with it and try not to get too discouraged! ((HUGS))

I'm trying not to be discouraged but now I'm in full-blown negative nancy mode. I went to the drugstore and put in my femara rx (good thing I did actually because they are out and had to order more and that takes over a week). I also bought pads, an instead cup (been wanting to try one) and a bottle of wine. On the way home I cried when 'Immortal' by Evanescence came on. :-| I'm blaming this on early PMS.

    Pity party, table for one.

Okay boots, I love you. Just thought I would say that first.

But seriously, you need to stop with the pity party and being determined this is an annovulatory cycle. You are on CD16. That is not too late to O at all. Just give it a few more days of temps and sex before completely throwing in the towel for this cycle.

You're right, there's no downside to keeping up the BD'ing until I know for sure.

I'm also thinking I need to call my RE on Monday and talk it through with her - if I'm not ovulating, she might want to use different meds. She said I had a dominant follicle ready on Monday, it just hasn't relased for whatever reason. Not sure if the femara is going to help with that.

BOOTS! NO!! Put the wine and the balloons and the Instead cup away!

Okay, you can keep the wine. :)

Your chart is a little crazy right now, but I don't think you should throw in the towel just yet. I wouldn't be surprised if things were still wonky from your surgery.

    Oh Boots I love ya!

Hang in there.  It is still so early.  I think that O is going to show up soon.  However, women who have perfect fertility will still have one or two anovulatory cycles in a year so even if the worse case happens this cycle, it is not the end all be all.

I know how charting can make a person go crazy.  It is very hard to stay patient but you can do this!

    Thanks babe, big hugs. :-)

I agree that you should give it more time. It's so frustrating, I know, but CD16 is not late.

I don't see anything that is pointing to anovulatory.

I still maintain that your are proably super close.  Hang in there, your temp shift is coming any day.
